Suzanne - need your input please!
Thanks for looking at the contract! I will definitely talk with the person I am in contact wsith from the agency..Overall, it looks like it is not a bad one. I'm having a really good feeling about it. She did mention that she's also trying to get her brother over via this agency. BTW, she's also a Filipino.

help pls...entry to US denied
hi. unfortunately, this is true and it happened to someone I know. He has a mutliple tourist visa and has been here in the US 3 times before. He was here the first time to help me with my toddler because I had to have heart surgery. He's always gone back on time, never had a problem, never did anything wrong to make them deport him..but they did. This is very upsetting. He said he was one of the 9 foreigners who were all sent back for one reasi=on or the other. Just so unfair. yhencw

Suzanne - need your input please!
Hi Suzanne. My brother has a friend who works for an agency in NY. I had called them and everything sounds good. They are interested in sponsoring my sister-in-law. They had sent me an employment agreement (thru email) and wants me to look at them so I can ask my SIL to sign them. I would greatly appreciate it if you can take a look at the contract & let me know what you think of it. I sure do not know much the difference between a good and/or a bad contract. I can send it to you via email. Any input you may have will be very vvery helpful. Thanks!

Thank you again, suzanne! I had also posted in the International forum. My update about my SIL is there also. You're right about the agency I had contacted..they need to straighten out the information they are giving people. They were not very helpful at all to me. They just made more confused than I already was. You, on the other hand have given me useful info. I appreciate them vrey much!

Where are you from?
Hello! I'm from USA. I found out about this site because I was trying to find ways to get my sister-in-law ,who is an RN in Philippines, to come and work here. Tintin had passed the CGFNS and will soon fill out the Visa Screen Certificate form. She will also take the IELTS in the Philippines soon. We are taking the whole process, one step at a time, as it can get very overwhelming. A little about myself; I moved to US 11 yrs ago. I'm a sahm to two wonderful kids. In my short stay here in this forum, I had found it very helpful and had gathered many important information re my SIL long journey to here. I hope to exchange many informative posts with all of you. And I hope you all success in your efforts to live and work as better nurses. Have a great day!

Just joined..& have many ??'s
Hello all, I am overwhelmed on where to begin with helping to my sister-in-law work & live here in USA. She is a RN in the Philippines, had passed the CGFNS and currently working in ICU. I had called an agency to ask how they can help petition her. They told me that she needs to take TOEFL,TSE & IELTS. First question, does she need tp take all of these tests? or one of those 3 tests? She also needs to apply for the VIsa Screen Certificate. How long does this certificate usually take? When do we apply? after taking & passing all the above tests? or during, or before? My sister-in-law mentioned also taking the NCLEX. Does she needs NCLEX on top of all the tests I mentioned? Sorry for all the questions. I am a little confused and overwhelmed. Any suggestions/replies will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Yhen
