I couldn't believe it!! My husband called me and told me. There is nothing I could have done differently so I am ok....I also found out that whoever applied this year that was turned down last year was automatically taken ahead of everyone else. Soooo.....I decided instead of going the LPN route I am going to start working on my pre req for RN. I am going today to talk to the advisor about it. Thanks for all the help though.....hopefully I will be in nursing school soon!!!

ok....i still haven't gotten my letter, but i did break down and call the school. they told me letters were going out today!!! i talked to a girl that is in the program now and she said that 90 people applied and they accepted 42. i hope i am in that 42! i hope i get the letter tomorrow! i am sure i will be on here posting if i do!!! wish me luck;)

I totally understand...as you know I have been the mailbox stalker. Well, broke down and called the school today and they told me they are still waiting on the background checks to come back. Well I have to give my work notice...so I asked when they were planning on starting the pharmacology class (which you take before school starts) and they said in July. Why do they cut it so close and then act like we're idiots for being concerned?????

well...once again it didn't come today...ok 4 more days!

ok....the countdown starts again today...mail should be coming around 12pm. dh better be on the lookout. hmm...i wonder if he misses getting a lunch break!

well, it didn't come today! i ahve my husband on duty! he called me and said they are coming around the bend!! but...no letter!! oh well! maybe they lost my address.....i should probably call:devil:...or stop by, whichever is easier for them of course!!!

:balloons: congrats on passing the net!! :balloons: i took it in april and was so nervous about it! i am also trying to get into a lpn program. i work at a dr's office so i got references from the dr's that i work with. i would think that clients would be good, because they know you on a professional level. i had my interview on monday and felt like throwing up on the way the and the way home! it actually took me like 2 days to recoup from it!!! i am supposed to hear back by next week whether i get in or not! where are you applying to and in what state??? i am applying to tennessee tech in athens, tn. well, good luck and let me know how it goes!!

that is great that you got your acceptance letter a week later! they told me that they have to interview everyone first then they will make their decision. and i am scheduled for the first day interviews start, and they go on for 3 weeks...uughh! of course they also told me that it would be early july before i would hear about an interview, becaus ethey had to wait until all the apps got turned in, but i got my interview time like 2 days after i turned in my app. where are you going to school at? i am going to a tech school here in tn. i am trying to prepare myself though! i have a 5 year old that is starting kindergarten and i work full time right now. also trying to come up with the money for it!

i am going to be going to an interview for a lpn program on monday and wondering if anyone is in my same spot? i have taken the net, turned in my app, snd now waiting for this interview! then i have another 3-4 weeks to wait to see if i have been accepted. anybody already done the interview with any words of wosdom??? i could use all the help i can get!!

Hello! I just took the NET last month. You have got to get the study guide from eri world. I also purchased one of the study guides from a book store and it was nothing like the eri study guide or the test. I am so thankful that I got it! The eri study guide is exactly like the test!! Also...the reading comprehension is what most people fail. I am sure you will do great though! I am also trying for an LPN school in TN. I have been out of school for 8 years and have a 5 year old daughter! Good luck. If you have any questions about the NET by all means PM me!!

Definitely buy the NET study guide. It was a life saver for me! I studied that thing until I could about memorize it!!! Anyway...I passed the test! Good Luck!!!

I have been so worried about this! I know that if I don't list it on my app then when they do a uds, I am screwed! I called the school today and the lady said that it shouldn't have any bearing on whether I get in or not, but she did say that they would talk to me about it in the interview. I work at a Psychiatrists office and she said to tell them that the Zoloft is for migraines! I actually do have migraines so I am thinking about that!

I am a little concerned!! On the application for school they want you to list all meds that you are currently on. Well, I have been on Zoloft and Hydroxyzine for 6 years. I am going to put these on here, but will that have any bearing on my admissions? Also there is a question asking if you are currently undergoing emotional treatment. Well no I'm not but I am taking a medication for depression. I don't know what to answer on that question. Do you think this will really hinder my entrance?

:balloons: I am so happy! I was so nervous about taking this test! I ranked in the 99th percentile! Yeah!!! Of course it was supposed to be a 3 hour test, but I was so nervous that I was going to run out of time I finished it in 1 1/2 hours! Now I have to fill out the app and wait for them to call me for an interview. Hmmm....more waiting! Well, I just wanted to thank everyone for all the advice!:balloons:

my stomach hurts so bad! i think i am going to do well on it, but then again there are some that have such a hard time with it. please i need some words of advice! i am working right up until i go to the test, so i am trying to read the study guide in between phone calls!

what study guide other than kaplan do you have? did you buy the one at eri world? i have this one and am hoping that the math is really similar. what were the hardest math problems on the test? i am sure that with some help you will do fine on the retest! good luck!

I haven't taken either test, but I am taking the NET on Tuesday. I have the study guide for the NET and I could give you an idea of what is in it if you want! Math:Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Then it has addding, subtracting, dividing and multiplyling fractions and decimals. The percentage section is my hardest, you have to convert decimals and fractions to a percent and vice versa. Also you have to figure the percent of numbers, and what number a percent of a certain number is. Then there is some basic algebra questions. Like answering for y. I was told by the school that the reading comprehension is the hardest though. In the study guide it tells you to read the question first and then look for the answer. Good Luck!

Hey Tina, what is the name of the test you are taking? I am scheduled to take the NET on the 28th and feel the exact same way you do! I have been having dreams about not finishing it, getting up and leaving in the middle of it. Then finally taking it, passing, and the class already being full! Ahhhh!!! If you are taking the NET do you have the study guide from eri?

I am so jealous of all you people getting your acceptance letter!! I am still waiting to take the NET!!! We have to have our apps turned in by May 31st, they have to wait for interviews......THEN......we will recieve letters. Hmmm...what's a girl supposed to do until then?

I was wondering if anyone here has been to this school or knows anything about how the applicants are chosen for the school. I am taking my NET in April and am trying to get into the September class. I want this so bad!!! I am just so nervous about it! I have been out of school for a while, so it I am trying to build up my confidence again at test taking!!! I would appreciate any advice that you may have!!:thankya:
