LVN on probation
Nope, giving up is not an option. I have no fees or fines or student loans. I'm doing this because I love nursing. It is my passion and I made it this far with one hurdle left. Determination is key.

LVN on probation
Hi, still no luck. I've had multiple interviews but obviously they would choose the candidate who is not on probation and has no restrictions. I even had an interview with aurora psych hospital in Covina but they said they have never had a LVN on probation only RNs and the position I applied for was suddenly filled. Dialysis is encouraged by many but it seems very hard to get into. I've applied to places up to 2 hours away from me. It really is very discouraging and extremely stressful as this is the last requirement I had to complete in order to finish probation successfully. Any suggestions would be more than appreciated. I'm not allowed to do home health, congregation living centers or charge nurse positions, no teaching positions and I am allowed to work with narcotics. I just need direct supervision while on site. I've tried case management positions but many do require 1-3 years experience and I live only worked as a charge nurse and about patient clinic nurse with 8 years experience. im not going to allow this one mistake in my life define my career. God brought me this far so I'm continuing to have faith in him and trust the process. Any help or guidance is more than appreciate. Trying not to get too discouraged but it is more than difficult at times.

Sorry for the errors in the writing. I used voice text and it doesn't always do the greatest job with grammar

LVN on probation
Well, the dialysis job didn't want to go with me. They selected other candidates so right now there are no dialysis positions available anywhere near me. I did hear back just a little bit ago about scheduling an interview for a subacute but now the problem is that it is for a charge nurse for position and for the first position I obtain on nursing probation is not allowed to work as a charged nurse, I can work another job first, and then after I show that I do well on that, then I can work as a charge nurse. I do not have a problem hearing back from people and wanting to schedule interviews. The hardest part of it is either if they are willing to work with a nurse on probation or making sure that there's adequate supervision on site while I would be working and making sure it's inappropriate position as well. I was told no to working at any 6 bed congregation living, no home health positions. I'm just starting to feel lost that what jobs I can work at because most of the places that have our ends on duty or physicians are skilled nursing facilities or subacute and majority of those positions practically all of them are charge nurses. The only other places I can think of are urgent care's or doctors offices where there's physicians but a lot of those places are really hard to get into and I've heard rumors that Kaiser will not touch anybody on probation so I feel like my options are extremely limited and I don't know what else to do.

LVN on probation
The problem is that I need to have either a RN, a physician or a nurse practitioner or anyone who holds a license higher than mine that works on site during my shift to provide adequate supervision. I have heard back from detox centers but the problem I'm finding is that they do not have a RN or Physician on site they work remotely. Which is a problem. I've had to turn down interviews due to that. I'm not allowed to work in home health or in schools because lack of supervision. LVN jobs at hospitals are rare now and ones I do find are traveling case managers which I cannot do either. I've tried dialysis centers but haven't been chosen to move forward with the hiring process. I was valedictorian of both my LVN and CNA classes. I had one major set back in life and I'm going to find something. I'm keeping my faith and trying my best to network as well.

5 years and I'm done
Hey, I wanted to ask you do you happen to have any advice about obtaining a job while on nursing probation? I'm currently on my first year out of three years for nursing probation and it's been really hard. Trying to find a job as soon as possible to fulfill the requirement, which is my last requirement I have to complete in probation besides the daily checking in for Drug testing of course. I feel like I've applied at so many places and it gets discouraging. Any advice you have I would more than appreciate and congratulations on completing your five years. That's amazing.

LVN on probation
hi guys!! I'm currently on nursing probation seeking any job that could possibly be approved by the board to meet the requirement of nursing probation. I had a DUI back in 2017. All the nurse support group meetings are over an hour away. I've applied to about 60 jobs already and been turned down due to being on probation. I'm not allowed to do home health or a charge nurse. I've looked into dialysis centers and treatment facilities. I'm getting worried. This is the last requirement I need to complete for probation. I'm trying to be patient and keeping my hope and faith that the right position will soon come along but it is discouraging so far. Please if I can ask for any help or advice that would be more than great. I'm not sure what else to do so that's why I wrote this post to network and get this out there and seek some advice and help if possible.
