  1. Again, USI has no BS discussion boards or papers that you need to do weekly. Knowledge is tested on exams. 4 exams and 4 live zoom classes per course. I like the recorded lectures and zoom classes. For me, the biggest downside is the reading assignments. There is too much to read.
  2. @acblds5 yes, I am on the postmaster's track, PMC-PMHNP, and doing Psychopharm and PMHNP I (theory + clinical). I have really enjoyed the topics and the recorded lectures so far. We also have four 2-hour mandatory Zoom Live Lectures/discussions. The psychopharm is challenging since no recorded lectures, but it has been organized enough that is easy to follow weekly topics. I am allocating significant time in psychopharm and really understanding the art of psycho-pharmacotherapy since I feel 80-90% of what we do revolves in prescribing, so you really have to know how each SSRI differs from one another, up to antipsychotics, and other psychotropics.
  3. @Mergirlc we are on the 11th week of the program, and it is manageable. High standard and no BS papers. You have to do well on exam to pass and average 83%, otherwise you will fail the course. No spoon feeding. It forces you to study and really know the materials. We have recorded lectures on PMHNP course, but not on the psychopharm- some videos from previous lectures. I would say, it is a very rigorous and competitive. I would highly recommend, but not walk in the park. Good luck!
  4. acblds5 - I am starting this coming Fall semester with NURS 661 and 662. I heard from current students that this is a very busy program and need to really know the materials to pass the exams.
  5. Thank you for providing insights on the program, Sherine. It has been difficult finding information about student experiences online, and the information you provided has been valuable. Now I can rest assured that I chose a good program.
  6. How are your professors? Have they been supportive? I hope they are committed to the success of their students.
  7. Thank you for sharing your experience. I am glad to hear that you have had a good experience thus far. How are the exams covered, and do they specify clearly the materials that you need to study on?
  8. Hi Sherine! I wanted to follow up, how is the program? Have you been getting recorded lectures to watch?
  9. Thank you, ThyLady. It looks like we will be classmates in Fall. How exciting! Just curious, in which state are you from? I am from California.
  10. Hi ThyLady2025, I want to ask if you are still at USI PMHNP program. As mentioned, I am starting the program in Fall this year. I want to ask if you can share meaningful advise on how to be successful in this program? I know my fall semester will be especially challenging since I will be taking 2 courses + clinicals + working at the same time.
  11. Yes, I've been reading it is a busy program. And it's important that you stay ahead. I am on the Post-Master's Certificate, so I go straight to the Specialty courses.
  12. Hi Sherine, I start in Fall 2025, but taking Psychopharm and PMHNP I. I created a group on Facebook USI PMHNP, you should join. Sherine, what are courses are you taking in May?
  13. Hi Winsomesue, which program did you end up choosing?
  14. Hi ThyLady, are you currently in the program or you finished? What courses are you taking now? I am taking Psychopharm and PMHNP Clinical I in fall. Is it doable with 2 courses?
  15. I am starting USI PMC PMHNP in fall. Anyone here wants to connect? Seeking advice on how to stay on top with exams? They require 83% to pass, which is a very high standard compared to most schools.
