  1. I have enrolled in the University of Southern Indiana's online Psych NP Program beginning in January. It looks like a good program and everyone I've talked to has been very helpful. Really have no idea what to expect for the workload, though, hoping that it's both high quality and doable with a challenging work and family life... Anyone else on here a current/former/prospective student? Would love to hear about your experience and connect. About me: Mostly ER experience in California, so while lots of psych not a psych unit. Especially interested in the burgeoning field of psychedelics in psychiatry and psychology for treatment of resistant mental illnesses.
  2. I am an older student (47) planning to return next semester for my Psych NP at University of Southern Indiana. I have a good and well paying RN job in California, but I want a new challenge in the next 20 years of my career. I am concerned because I will still be working (can cut down to half time as needed) and I have adolescent daughters who are pretty demanding of time and energy right now. I'm questioning whether I'm biting off too much... Anyone on here that has done a part time Psych NP (program is online, although obviously clinicals will not be) program, how did it go for you? How many hours per week on average were you doing class/studying? Are you happy with your career path? Anyone happen to have done the program at USI? Spinning a bit, so would love to hear from others. Thank you!
