Jobs while in monitoring?
Im in michigan, listening probationary status on 8/22 finally got a RN job last Friday in dialysis after 6 interviews. Learn how to interview and engage with them, be social with everyone. Be likeable. Get them to talk about themselves , get them to like you and they'll find a reason to hire you. Out of those 6 I was "hired " by 3. Two didn't give a definitive start date. So I had to go with the 3rd due to my financial situation I couldn't wait. They offered 40$/hr I countered woth 43 and they gave 41.50. My last job I was near 50$ ,at orientation the educator brought up the co pany had issues with detention ( gee I wonder why) I asked about the wage difference. Diayslsys has room for growth he said with further certification after 1 year 3 and 5 years... again wonder why the retention issue. I digress , the other area I had interviews with behaviroal nursing areas. I had narcotic restriction which is the most difficult to work with.

Dialysis jobs have been a dead end, what am I missing?
Yea online via indeed, or via their sites. 50mile radius. Ya lucky no supervision nice! Some of the postings I see are like 3-13 days old too. Other notifications I get click the link, and it says job is filled and no longer listed. Hopstial had outpatient dialysis phoenix screening. Stated maybe up to 3 weeks to hear from a manager "IF" they move forward. Everything is screened as well,so im not even getting actual interviews.

Dialysis jobs have been a dead end, what am I missing?
I'm in Michigan, nursing 13 years. Experience- Management, hospice, Oncology, hospice, longterm care, med surg. Probation restrictions- No narcotics (for 6 months) Must be supervised, make seemingly everything except dialysis not doable (correct me if im wrong please please please) Check dialysis jobs daily, apply. Call Fresnius, Davita etc. "If interested they will contact". Ran out very quickly. Can't do contract work, travel, home care , or work from home. Recruiters also out, they won't work with probation nurses. Wound care nurse? Somehow they dispense narcotics... Phone triage? Somehow they "may be required" to dispense a narcotic at clinic. And in some scenarios "I may" be the only nurse. Nurse educator? Somehow may be pulled to follow and required to be able to dispense narcotics. Infection control? Same Informatics? Haven't seen a listing. Ask HPRP for help? Somehow they don't keep track of where nurses work.... Case management in LTC setting? "may require blah blah blah" most other ones involve home or hospital type visits and "I must be monitored " Nurse recruiters at major hospitals? Have yet to return a call after I explain things. Appreciate any help.

Finding a job after probation
Because of our restrictions, and the body monitoring us refusing to help (stand by its program) by offering job placement assistance.

Unknown restrictions ,not possible to find a nursing job, even non drug dispensing..
I have not been. I'm in limbo it seems, again.

Unknown restrictions ,not possible to find a nursing job, even non drug dispensing..
I was hired at two plaes who also stated they work with nurses in monitoring ". After looking at my license they then said they could not proced as my restrictions aren't listed. Are you sure about what I am saying? I could be not communicating proper. These nurses in dialysis, they have "known lists" restrictions or simply "pending unknown restrictions " Both my jobs were non drug dispensing as well ,no regular meds no narcotics. Still they said No

Also what would the job title be? Most of what I found was counslers, case manager, psychologists. Those all need degrees. Like intake RN?

I think I was unclear on medications vs narcotics. I was applying to jobs with NO narcotics. When I questioned this, they said due to restrictions being unknown, it is too much of a liability regardless. Even as a QA nurse, I would watch other nurses for compliance purposes. Because I "may" have to dispense some kind of medicine. Like the most *** thing I've ever heard. I'll try those places as well thank you. I think a non nursing job is will have some chance at getting. There aren't 25 nonmedication jobs to apply for.

What other adjacent areas can I do in the meantime? That won't require a 6-12 month additional certificate program? I've had two interviews that don't require drug administration. Because my restrictions are "not listed yet," cuz the state is *** at doing their job. Anyone else been in this position, where did you work with "unknown restrictions " Can I expedite this in any way? I assume not.

Suspending a license"with stay" and going into other health care Google [Michigan]?
NO, I have not yet signed anything, I was waiting to go on vacation first, then enter monitoring.. I have a lawyer currently, and when I mentioned suspend with stay she said shed never heard of that.. IS this applicable to michgian, or only certain states? But it sounds even if I DO this , then I still will have to do monitoring at some point, there just is no way around this, only to defer it. IF I answer YES on my application, id bet they would not want to hire me...BUT ideally id go into dental hygienist, then specialize in whats called myofunctional therapy. Something I have a great interest in and ahve been through myself and know people in the field and who own their ow business for it. So if I started my own business that question wouldn't apply, save if it is regarding a small business loan or such..

Suspending a license"with stay" and going into other health care Google [Michigan]?
Is this a possibility? I can't find any information about it via Google. Thinking about if possible to walk away, and go into dental hygienist. Can you go into this with a suspended license in nursing and avoid or postpone HPRP.

Open formal complaint, Michigan questions
What do they ask support people? I already admitted to diversion aside from that they just have omnicell pull record which I was waaay above average ,thus I knew no way I'd lie and get off Scott free. I was at 650 narcotic pulls the next highest nurse in the whole hospital was 350. Similar hours worked etc. What do they ask support people? They don't count as far as I've read hprp chooses everything for you... I domt need. Program though I stopped on my own. And have worked indunno 6 months with no drug urges or thoughts since.. My lawyer had ALl my money up front, she had literally no incentive to drag this *** out... save stupidity?

Open formal complaint, Michigan questions
I've already said here a few times, I understand ill get the program. What im pissed about is a year ago my lawyer told me to wait and I was dumb and listened now I call and talk to her about what I've read here and shes all yes call to start HPRP... so pissed So what should I be asking at my hprp meeting, and yes I still plan on going on vacation prio to starting this ***. \ I admitted to it ad my investigation meeting, cuz my lawyer essentially stated they'll find out eventually, and once you lie you'll loose any credibility and next to no chance at keeping license.. so after entering hprp don't continue to use lawyer essentially.

So spoke with my lawyer, ans she isn't against me starting hprp prior to my complaicne meeting... so the *** more wasted time. I guess a obvious question to go on vacation prior to starting this *** show? Do they penalize you for alcohol? And how long does it stay in or systems for via various testing?

Open formal complaint, Michigan questions
I don't understand either, again im not trying to avoid it, simply spend shortest amount of time in it.. I've emailed my lawyer twice now since dec28th. and have not had a reply as of yet. She did mention helping choose an evaluator and what to expect, but could not advise she said. Just to keep answers as short as possible and only answer what is asked. Again when they asked me if I diverted I assumed answering yes was the best choice as they'd find out eventually and then id be a liar, and lawyer mentioned there'd be likely no chance to save license via that route BTW is any of the program covered by any insurance?

I'm not sure, so " with stay" does not or does include mandated monitoring. I want the ability to purse another Healthcare field...so I don't want on this oig list ..

Open formal complaint, Michigan questions
Apparently I can't gl into dental hygiene if I surrender my license. I had SUD,I no longer have any desire for drugs or impulse to diverting for the last year of nursing. My meeting is Jan 30th. so I choose how long I'm in monitoring not then if I go in voluntarily?

Open formal complaint, Michigan questions
Everyone is saying apart monitoring early. Why did I get a lawyer? How do I know which evaluator to.choose, like she stayed ahe knows them and which ones to go/not go with. So after this compliance meeting is it then to late to begin hprp on my own?
