  1. Im in michigan, listening probationary status on 8/22 finally got a RN job last Friday in dialysis after 6 interviews. Learn how to interview and engage with them, be social with everyone. Be likeable. Get them to talk about themselves , get them to like you and they'll find a reason to hire you. Out of those 6 I was "hired " by 3. Two didn't give a definitive start date. So I had to go with the 3rd due to my financial situation I couldn't wait. They offered 40$/hr I countered woth 43 and they gave 41.50. My last job I was near 50$ ,at orientation the educator brought up the co pany had issues with detention ( gee I wonder why) I asked about the wage difference. Diayslsys has room for growth he said with further certification after 1 year 3 and 5 years... again wonder why the retention issue. I digress , the other area I had interviews with behaviroal nursing areas. I had narcotic restriction which is the most difficult to work with.
  2. And water is wet.
  3. Yea so that's not the same restrictions at all.
  4. What restrictions did she have though? Where is she at? Good for her yes. im having many problems.
  5. that's awesome, I've not found hospital or place that will do that for me yet.
  6. Yea online via indeed, or via their sites. 50mile radius. Ya lucky no supervision nice! Some of the postings I see are like 3-13 days old too. Other notifications I get click the link, and it says job is filled and no longer listed. Hopstial had outpatient dialysis phoenix screening. Stated maybe up to 3 weeks to hear from a manager "IF" they move forward. Everything is screened as well,so im not even getting actual interviews.
  7. I'm in Michigan, nursing 13 years. Experience- Management, hospice, Oncology, hospice, longterm care, med surg. Probation restrictions- No narcotics (for 6 months) Must be supervised, make seemingly everything except dialysis not doable (correct me if im wrong please please please) Check dialysis jobs daily, apply. Call Fresnius, Davita etc. "If interested they will contact". Ran out very quickly. Can't do contract work, travel, home care , or work from home. Recruiters also out, they won't work with probation nurses. Wound care nurse? Somehow they dispense narcotics... Phone triage? Somehow they "may be required" to dispense a narcotic at clinic. And in some scenarios "I may" be the only nurse. Nurse educator? Somehow may be pulled to follow and required to be able to dispense narcotics. Infection control? Same Informatics? Haven't seen a listing. Ask HPRP for help? Somehow they don't keep track of where nurses work.... Case management in LTC setting? "may require blah blah blah" most other ones involve home or hospital type visits and "I must be monitored " Nurse recruiters at major hospitals? Have yet to return a call after I explain things. Appreciate any help.
  8. Where are they working? aside diaylsis as I've not found one in a month of active looking
  9. Because of our restrictions, and the body monitoring us refusing to help (stand by its program) by offering job placement assistance.
  10. Im in michigan, nursing 13 years. Varies specialties. 11. I was hired at two plaes who also stated they work with nurses in monitoring ". After looking at my license they then said they could not proced as my restrictions aren't listed. Are you sure about what I am saying? I could be not communicating proper. These nurses in dialysis, they have "known lists" restrictions or simply "pending unknown restrictions " Both my jobs were non drug dispensing as well ,no regular meds no narcotics. Still they said No
  12. Also what would the job title be? Most of what I found was counslers, case manager, psychologists. Those all need degrees. Like intake RN?
  13. I think I was unclear on medications vs narcotics. I was applying to jobs with NO narcotics. When I questioned this, they said due to restrictions being unknown, it is too much of a liability regardless. Even as a QA nurse, I would watch other nurses for compliance purposes. Because I "may" have to dispense some kind of medicine. Like the most *** thing I've ever heard. I'll try those places as well thank you. I think a non nursing job is will have some chance at getting. There aren't 25 nonmedication jobs to apply for.
  14. What other adjacent areas can I do in the meantime? That won't require a 6-12 month additional certificate program? I've had two interviews that don't require drug administration. Because my restrictions are "not listed yet," cuz the state is *** at doing their job. Anyone else been in this position, where did you work with "unknown restrictions " Can I expedite this in any way? I assume not.
