@chare Have you ever needed to use it? And if so, has NSO been very helpful? I was hoping to find personal anecdotes that it does anything at all when it comes to protection. I have heard otherwise, but again, from people who haven't really had to use it. (As an aside, I don't ever go to Starbucks or spend frivolously. This economy is too bad for unneeded spending as a new grad.)

I'm almost a year into nursing and I still have the NSO liability insurance that we were required to get for nursing school. However now the price is much higher- it went from 28$ per year to 105$ per year! I also practice out of state from the address on my policy, so I am wondering if that matters? Is it important to have this insurance? I recognize also that I am in L&D, which is highly litigious but everyone I talk to say it doesn't even matter and that it's not worth it.

Hi, so the midwifery program at UCSF doesn't exist for the time being, as they are working on having it be accredited for a DNP (it was previously a Masters program). I am just holding my breath and hoping I can even get a L&D job as a new BSN grad in the meantime.
