  1. @chare Have you ever needed to use it? And if so, has NSO been very helpful? I was hoping to find personal anecdotes that it does anything at all when it comes to protection. I have heard otherwise, but again, from people who haven't really had to use it. (As an aside, I don't ever go to Starbucks or spend frivolously. This economy is too bad for unneeded spending as a new grad.)
  2. I'm almost a year into nursing and I still have the NSO liability insurance that we were required to get for nursing school. However now the price is much higher- it went from 28$ per year to 105$ per year! I also practice out of state from the address on my policy, so I am wondering if that matters? Is it important to have this insurance? I recognize also that I am in L&D, which is highly litigious but everyone I talk to say it doesn't even matter and that it's not worth it.
  3. Thank you so much for that contact information! I know of a couple male midwives up in San Francisco, and I am just so blown away by them.
  4. Looking into residencies at Presbyterian and University of New Mexico Health. I applied for both in the last couple weeks and had a phone screen, but haven't heard back. Does anyone know when/if someone will reach out? My applications just say "in consideration."
  5. Has anyone seen or heard anything about St Francis? I don't have FB. I haven't gotten a rejection, but that was the only unit I applied for.
  6. Hi, so the midwifery program at UCSF doesn't exist for the time being, as they are working on having it be accredited for a DNP (it was previously a Masters program). I am just holding my breath and hoping I can even get a L&D job as a new BSN grad in the meantime.
  7. May I ask what kind of questions you were asked? Was it in person or on Zoom?
  8. Man, it's painful, so I feel you. All the best to us both next time.
  9. Me neither-- has anyone seen interview offers put out for St Francis Acute Surgical yet on the FB group?
  10. So had anyone here heard from St Francis adult surgical?
  11. Congrats all. I'm gonna say that Surgical already got their calls then, and I didn't make it this round.
  12. This is my thought too. Calming thoughts all around.
  13. Anyone heard from surgical after Wednesday's interview?
