I called BON my dental assistant license disciplinary action does not affect a home health aid license because nursing and dentistry is two different things so if I get any other licenses it be "unencumbered"no board action, clean record. But you right on that part about most jobs will ask one of those questions…….but I was place on NPDB and what I did was apply to dental hygientist program even though I have a NPDB report with them so I email board of dentistry they said depends only hospital setting look at it more I think I be OK as long it's no board action it should not affect you especially there's a extremely shortage in HYGIENTIST but imma try home health aid, apply for wound care class and do lpn and dental hygienist for now my record in process of expunged/sealed and dental assistant license is reinstated with no restrictions I keep you guys posted in two years best of luck guys we got this

Hi I'm reading your post how's everything is today were you able to get a job? Did you move? With the npdb it cannot be remove but wondering how it been getting a job did employers ask you about it have it? Have it been mention in job applications? Let me know hope your doing well

Hi the npdb remains forever IDK how hard it will be even if it's a revision in action IDK about people on monitoring program if license is suspended and get reinstated but I believe in hospitals it's require to run a query report it's best to write a statement on your rehabilitation and what you learn from it because leaving a report blank will close the doors on employers I been reading those who aren't on it still have problem finding work in 2026 it's very hard as hospitals filing bankruptcy and layoffs are at a all time high plus rates RN are low in states as well

Hi I know Its super late years later I have a displiniary action taken against me in 2024 it's 2026 now from the board of dentistry where I had couple of other credentials what took action is my CNA license which I had to surrender but my dental assistant license was suspended and reinstated later with no restrictions I had to complete PTI, anger management all because a resident bite me and another nurse walk pass me all I was trying to do was guard her not coming to the nursing station I had to get her off of me while I was bit in arm twice and a towel throw over my face I seek a attorney to handle my case which they gave me 3 years probation and no jail time which I did half of term, my license is reinstated now for dental assistant just in the process of getting the record sealed I'm back doing dentistry work even though this had a profound affect on my career I cry all the time and feel like given up everything but I pray everyday and since it doesn't go away what Imma do is apply for a three week home health aid program to see if a disciplinary action shows up on the home health aid license in my state I'm scared to pursue dentistry and LPN in the same state any suggestions what state you guys are from I want people's honest opinion and who ever going through something like this I'm in your shoes just different case

That's good you still hold a job were on disciplinary action I'm just want to see if it's worth going to dental HYGIENTIST and LPN school I got dental assistant agency that I'm still hired by but can't do anything since my license is suspended without getting off PTI which is coming any day from the courts and license reinstatement I love what I do I made a mistake but we all human and learn I been so depress I go through my up and down moments Im thinking should I still do but listening to your story give me hope I only have one report from board of dentistry soon it will turn to revision in action so definitely I will add a comment on my NPDB report

I'm on the npdb database that affected my dental assistant license I was on PTI but just gotten off I can reinstate my dental assistant license and expunge my record I hired a lawyer on a situation I was in while I was a CNA and now I had to surrender my license but the main thing that's holding me back employers Turning my application away while license is active with disciplinary action and being placed on npdb I'm not even a nurse or hygientist yet I wonder should I still pursue it?

Also Roxanna needs a lawyer she needs to get the conviction off her record

Hi I'm goin through it mines through pti I won't have. Till October till my lawyer send out a consent form for my conviction b dismissed just got wait six months till I get my arrest record expunged though

Have you got in pn program one more class till I finish all prerequisite
