  1. I don't know that there's any CMS requirements, but there should be! I'll dig into this a bit more.
  2. It's sickening how little some companies care about their nurses, or workers, overall. Things need to change.
  3. Burnout is REAL. People think that it's a term thrown loosely around, but it's a real thing. I'm always reading up on things when I have time, and I found out some really interesting things about how burnout affects us. Our agencies need to start doing better with running us rugged-- and we need to ensure we're taking care of ourselves. For anyone interested, here's the article: https://www.alorahealth.com/5-facts-about-caregiver-burnout-that-will-startle-you/

I'm sorry that's what you're stuck with! I can't stand that system LOL. We use Alora and it's been an absolute God-send. There's a small learning curve with it, but charting is easy, it's probably the best system I've ever used. Maybe you can bring this up to your agency and see if it's something they're willing to switch to?
  5. I personally would want to do my own start of care, not really for any reason other than I like to ensure things begin on the right path.
  6. It depends on your agency and what they want you to do, but you wouldn't need a return of care if they weren't admitted into the hospital.
  7. This makes me wonder how much these have changed: https://www.alorahealth.com/osha-emergency-temporary-requirements/ And how they're going to change in the future when another pandemic ends up taking hold of us. Regardless, we need a way to ensure our job security, without being pressured into taking vaccines.
