Did you maybe apply to a posting that wasn't for new grad? I know they had some postings posted around the same time but not all were new grad, so maybe that was the reason for rejection.

Which hospital was it that was only giving 2 weeks??!!??

I Interviewed for general surgery at Murrieta. I was called yesterday and rejected. I'm OK with it though because it was not my preference. In the interview they told me it was actually not really general surgery or post surgical it's just med/surge tele and they just call it general surgery. She also said the training with a preceptor is only 8 weeks. So that's not really enough.

How long did it take to hear back after the assessment?

Is adolescents what you originally applied for or? Did you hear back after the interview yet?

The video is for the adult hospital. Did you apply to that? The application for the children's hospital is different.

Your job sounds more like subacute , I'm not sure but I would guess once you have one year of experience you might have a better chance at in patient jobs. Keep applying!

I am in a similar position as you! I haven't been able to find a job and I was recently offered a job in hospital with a really bad reputation. A Facebook group of nurses continually comments about how bad this hospital is , and telling peolple not to work there, it's bad for your license, etc. I'm sad because I really need and want a job, but not sure it's worth the risk.

Did you take the job? Was it St Francis? I was offered a job there too and not sure if I should do it. I've done tons of searching about the area and hospital. Obviously a lot of bad reviews. I'm worried about it being in a dangerous area and about the hospital.

Is DOU the same as observation 8100? Thought they were different m. DOU is more of a step down. Which one was your interview for?

Oh really, interesting. When did you receive a rejection? I did the video interview question but that's it so far.
