  1. Hey, after the administration hearing did you get your probation right away? Or does it take more time to process and then they tell you oh your punishment is this.. thank you
  2. Thank you for the information ? I can't afford a lawyer so definitely that's out for me. I missed my initial board hearing.. due to mail issues I the AG called me yesterday and stated if I did not want to surrender that I will have a hearing in Aug. I figured that would be when I can tell the board myself yes I have an issue. I'm aware and I want to get help. Vs just surrendering and never explaining myself
  3. Thank you for the information I appreciate it and yea I can't afford a lawyer even I wanted to. I have extremely bad credit. LOL can't get loans and I don't have family. It's just myself and SO. I know a lawyer will help. Thank you glad you were able to get yours back ?
  4. I appreciate your reply, and thank you... I can't afford an attorney. I'm trying to save to make it happen. But thank you.. I thought it sounded odd how they kept pushing for me to surrender because I thought okay at least if I talk with the Board maby just maby I'd have some sort of redemption. As I said I'm aware of what I did and I have/had an addiction issue. I'm on meds now but I know it's going to be a life long battle.
  5. I hope someone can help I noticed this thread is older Im here in CA as well. I did my interview and I did admit during it that I did divert.. now fast forward today the AG called me but when I asked for a settlement he stated at this time there is nothing to offer no probation or anything. This is my first offense.. I have since done MAT along side consoling. The AG stated I have until Monday to go ahead and surrender my license, or I can go to trial. If I go to trial would I have any chance of probation? I can not proof that I did not divert as I stated I even admitted it during the interview and it is on my accusation. Would my prescriptions show that I have made an attempt at this time. I am so confused and stressed. Im not sure what to do.
  6. Hello, I see you all are already on probation. I just got a call today but was told by the AG that I can not make a settlement due to my charges. Has anyone else had this situation? He stated that If I have any poof or evidence that I can submit it and we can go to trial if not he suggest that I surrender. I am guilty of my charge. I will admit I was addicted to narcotics, and diverted them. I have since got into a MAT program, will informing the board and showing them prescriptions make a difference? or should I do as the AG stated and just surrender. I am so scared to go to trial this is my first offense. But I don't know what exactly will happen if I do have a trail.
  7. hey, did you end up going to a trial? I got told I can't get a settlement at this time my only choice is a trail and I have no way to show I did not do anything because ill admit I did divert. I have sense gone into MAT but since it was not via the diversion program I have no clue if that will assist me in a trail or im better off surrounding my License.
  8. Hi there again... I am wondering if anyone has waited it out essentially, and has nothing to show the board and judge when going to trial. Today I was called by the General Attorney.. he was kind of helpful.. he attached a document via email for discovery can the discovery be my recovery? like medication I have been taking along side therapy? to show some of my rehabilitation or is my only choice at this time to surrender my license and petition for it back when I am able. He stated that I would more likely than not owe the bord close to 10,000 due to a re-trial... because my mail was being with held so that stopped things and cause the bord to cancel their default decision. Im just worried should I wait and allow it to go to trial? He said at this time since I did admit to it, and have no proof of what happen to the medications that there is no settlement options at this time. If I showed the proof from medications prescriptions would that benefit me at all, along side with a letter from a consular? sorry for all the questions any help is appreciated. thank you.
  9. Hi has anyone ever been investigated but missed your letter to be called in to the boards? Like my letter was sent to an old address the person whom lived there refused to give me my mail. Told me today I got a letter and it was the default decision letter come to find out that was sent Feb. 14th so I only had today to write a statement and send it to the board. Hoping to hear from someone else who had a failure to appear and what happens once you fight that.
  10. Hi I know your post is old, but may I ask what did you bring with you to show that you had rehabilitated yourself without going through a diversion program? Like personally I was on medication for a few months. That helped get me off the abused medications. Now I'm only doing therapy. But I can't really figure out what I should or can bring to the board when I do go to them or the attorney general. Thanks I appreciate it in advance if you see this ?
  11. When you first enter the program, are you allowed to work I don't mean as a nurse, I mean a store or a warehouse. Or are their restrictions from the program itself stating that you can not work, I was reading over the posts and realized I have misworded that initially.
  12. That's slightly my mindset, I'm in the middle I want to wait it out, to save up whatever I can as long as I can as you said, but also so that I can better understand the program going in and knowing what I have to do. I know it's going to be a long process and recovery, that I'm okay with just nervous of course. Thank you I really appreciate your responses
  13. I know that I can not work for however long they decide as a nurse or in healthcare, but are there rules against working and doing the diversion program, I mean like working at a grocery store or warehouse.
  14. Thank you both, my email is [email protected]
  15. Hi not sure if anyone will see this, but if so did everyone wait for the investigation to be completed before entering the diversion program? I mad a huge mistake at work. I admitted it. I also just got off subnoxone less than a month ago, should I enter the program voluntarily or wait for the board hearing/investigation to be done and take drug tests on my own. As I said it was a one time mistake I took the subnoxone after because I felt like I needed something to help me, I did online therapy as well while doing that. I'm not sure it would matter to the boards but just curious what others think thank you ? I'm here in CA and I'm a lvn.
