  1. I hope that answered your question. Its not much but thats all they pay around here.
  2. I'm a night nurse and I don't have time to sleep and wouldn't even if there was time. In the 9 yrs I have worked nights at a LTC facility, there just isn't time for anything but work. Especially when you're the only nurse in the building for 90 to 100 residents. I don't understand people going to work to sleep, that's not what you're there for. Anyway, I said my piece.
  3. Well, this was a new one for me but, I was written up because my friend and I rode to work together and it was causing a conflict among the other staff members at the LTC facility where I work. :uhoh21: Now, I see the DON, other nurses and CNA's going out and partying, most who call in regularly, is that too a conflict or what? I have worked here 8 yrs and for the past 3 yrs we have rode to work together, its office politics to me. Anyway, now they are telling me I can't take all my vacation days together, aahh isn't that what makes it a vacation or what???
  4. Night shift is the best. I have been running nightshift for 8yrs, I love it. No bosses or other big wigs around, I do the scheduling for my crew and alot of other stuff. Believe me I stay busy every night, its not a sit down job. Too much going on most nights. I wouldn't trade it for any other shift.
  5. Boy, I need to work where most of you do because I have worked nightshift for 5 yrs and only get a .25 cent differential. I'm nightshift supervisor, too! I do 3rd shift staffing/scheduling and 50 other thing besides working the floor as the only nurse on duty. I think I'm being cheated somewhere. I think it maybe time to move on. Looks like it anyway.
