What do you think about with current News and Opinions?
Yes. Saying "fake news" is defaming. Absolutely. In order to dissuade people form believing the content because one disagrees with the content? Yes! Defaming. To dissuade people from hearing some truth or a different prospective than theirs? Yes! Defaming and manipulative too. Trump did this and some on here do it as well. Let me guess, it's not as defaming or manipulative when coming from a certain side and/or a personal belief? Well this bring hypocritical into the equation.

What is "my side" exactly. Did it identify as a Republican? Assuming that's what you mean by "my side". I did not compare BLM with Jan.6. Only that violence is violence. Both had violence. This is a fact. Both had deaths, this is also a fact. Are you saying this is nor true? Perhaps you feel that some deaths were not as bad as other deaths? Or other violence? Your words speak loud and clear. One doesn't have to scroll through full forums to get an understanding of your ideals. From little that I have read of your posts..... Do you think that someone who thinks the election was stolen, who never committed a crime or violence is a lesser human being? Should we punish them for their thoughts and beliefs? Do you seek to end the Republican party and become a one party government? A secular state? Think what you may but I cannot help but point out if you would rather people not to believe the "big lie" than perhaps insulting them and and their political party is not the way to achieve that. Or are you more interested in winning an argument or vengeance against the side you obviously do not like. I would even say having seething hatred?

Can't force people to believe something or think a certain way. Again, that is not a bad thing. We do not want to live in a society in which the government can decided what we can or cannot believe or think. Or say etc etc. Unfortunately that means having to toloratate other opinions whether true or not. Or hear speech we do not like. Unless of course we want to become like N Korea. Truth does matter but for our politicians, agenda and narrative seems more important.

I thought I did state examples. You're right, if we can't agree on a definition then it is pointless. My point about Trump is that it is not feasible to in one breath claim he co-ordinated a premeditated attempt to overthrow a US election, then claim he has cognition issues. Those 2 concepts contradict themselfs. It is more likely he has mental health issues. However I am not qualified to diagnose him or at least make an educated theory without medical records and such.

Yes. I see this allot as well. Almost like a deliberate effort to defame a news source in order to discourage others from using it. If I was

I hear what you are saying.its easy to get caught up in the characters of people, it obvious you have no respect for Trump supporters and even Republicans? Thats your choice. Propaganda has been a technique of politics forever. It's not new. I am not down playing Jan.6 but I do think it was a failed attempt of disorganized insurectionist who probably didn't feel that was what they were doing in their own minds. I never condone violence so for me that boat never sails. With all due respect, I find that you take a strong opposition to anything Republican. This I find is a strong sentiment from democrats. Where as there may be good reason, it doesn't help our country when either side thinks the other is Satan himself. For us to move on, everyone needs to stop, listen and attempt to see the others point of view. It can be small steps, like on this site. Without that, our Democratic Republic is definitely in peril.

The state of our political system is sad. I do not trust either side really. At this point it is frustrating that people think things that are not true but we can not control what people think. I'm not sure that is a bad thing. If people want to believe something untruthful, let them,as long as they do not do violence, they can think what they like.

What do you think about with current News and Opinions?
Yes. I do not trust media sources outright either. Doesn't matter what the truth is, simple selection of words and phrases along with facial expression and body language, can be very misleading and impressionable on the consumer. A fact can be said a 1000 ways and can be taken any direction the source decides.

Trump is more delusional than an extremist. Whatever he did or did not do at the capital Jan.6 was because of delusion and ego. I stand corrected. AOC and MTG are foolish and ridiculous. However they possess extremist beliefs. Complete with their inflamed exaggerated Tweets and public stunts. This is what I consider extremist, I know the dictionary definition. Not everyone has the same definition of words these days so I explained my definition. I know I brought it up but I'm really not wanting to debate the 2 foolish women.

Well, it might be helpful to describe "etreem" within the context we are speaking. I do not have any individual citizens name. I believe extremist is the belief/feeling that a person through behavior exhibits behavior void of any reason and or thought. Where facts are over looked, far fetched ideas are presented as facts even when such "facts" are not supported by data. Accompanied with a disregard for integrity. "Doesn't matter if it's true, say it and at least someone will believe it" type tactic. And not being able to see other opinions or accepting criticism and a doubling down on what they think is virtuous. Even if this makes them seem foolish in public. This is what I think a non violent extremist looks like. On the right Marjorie Taylor Greene,on the left AOC. And Trump to a point.

I'm not sure if I said I feel anything really. I'm confused that you would say that and even more confused about why you feel it necessary to be rude? I made an assumption. I think it is very unlikely he was the stereotypical MAGA Trump supporter who planed to kill a Justice that overturned Roe. He may not be a Biden supporter but based on the balance of probabilities, he would most likely is not be a Trump supporter. It doesn't really matter because what he did was not acceptable, regardless of his political affiliation. I only made mention to give a example of a Biden extremist. Perhaps he is mentally ill but he wasn't born a extremist so something made him that way. (With mental health influence). So perhaps we should look at what type of information he was consuming? Again, I'm not interested in a rude back and forth argument. Violence and extremism is a problem and not asigned to a specific group. It's the one true thing we all have in common, sadly and ironically. This is what my point was, I wasn't looking for a battle of which side has the bigger doo doo heads LOL

I can see a difference. I saw destruction, death and suffering for most of 2020 and then again on Jan.6. Is Jan.6 less bad because it was 4 hours rather than a good part of the Summer? No, of course not. Violence is violence no matter the cause or idea. It's childish to make claims one was worse than the other. Violence is violence. Neither is more noble or or reprehensible than the other. I can see a point where as one was protesting a precieved injustice of an election and another protesting a police injustice. Then you would need to look at how many people died. Will that determin which is worse? No. As I said, violence is violence. As far as I can see, there is a committee happening to determine to what extent Jan 6 was criminal. Many serious charges have been placed on the rioters. That doesn't seem to be soft on crime. None the less, I'm not wanting to partake in a game of "but but but they did this!"...... That's it. Good day.

I did not say Biden supporters specifically. I believe I said democrats. I'm pretty sure those rioters in Seattle chop voted for Trump. Most probably didn't even vote considering the barriers to voting some communities suffer from. Perhaps a extreme Biden supporter could be the man who had a plan to murder a Justce? I don't know. Is that extreme?
