  1. I just got my email today, so it's official! Math 12: 94 Chem 11: 95 ENGL: 87 PSYC: 96 BHSC: 95 Casper: 4th Quartile (Taken in February) I want to note that I had customer service experience (~4 years), a (tangentially) related diploma, as well as some years of experience working (non-patient side) in the ER/OR. If anything I think the additional experience and Casper performance are probably the more important factors!
  2. Everyone who applied for BCIT Fall 2022, my status just changed to Acceptance Offered! I’m still waiting on the official Offer through email, but check your myBCIT ? See you in the Fall!
  3. Hey - I didn’t take the challenge exam but I had the opportunity to, decided against it because of exactly what you said. Hope you get the answers you’re looking for but given your experience the courses should be an easy 90+!
  4. Yep - the first thing I did was to send a screenshot of the receipt + the completed status on Altus. I also talked to Altus and had them confirm that it had been sent, then forwarded that email to BCIT. I do hope they maybe found it but... I might just need to follow up and make absolutely sure just for my own peace of mind haha. It would suck to go through all these classes and tests and end up missing the fall semester because of this!
  5. Interesting... I'm hoping they figure it out and find my Snapshot - I completed everything purposefully for the opening of the application date to avoid this stress so this is a bit scary. Can't stop refreshing my email!
  6. Thanks Megan! Question for everybody: is your Casper account under your personal email or your BCIT email? I'm wondering if that's why the department can't find my Snapshot... Thanks in advance ?
  7. I believe they have started reviewing applications. I just got an email regarding my Casper test (I think there were issues with Altus sending mine out). Either they are starting the review process or they're making sure all applications have met the requirements at this point. To be clear mine still says Pending Review.
  8. Looking at previous Fall Intake threads, it seems like people started getting their decisions in around May 26th onwards to middle of June... looks to be released in waves. We should start hearing back soon (perhaps middle of next week?)! ?
  9. Congratulations to you both! I'm sure that's a great load off your chests. Hopefully this means that the results aren't too far away for the rest of us... Hope to see you in September ?
  10. Thanks for replying, Megan! Hopefully we’ll all see you in September :)
  11. Hey Megan, congratulations! It's great to know you're guaranteed a spot ? Hope to see you in September. Did you have a 3.9 overall or just for the pre-reqs? Oh, and how do you calculate your overall GPA? BCIT only shows me a percentage, not a 4 point scale, so I'm just curious.
  12. Hey! Yeah, before this thread I was thinking we would know by April or May… oh well! Good on you for the Casper; I’m sure that’ll help your application a ton ? I see you have healthcare experience too, so I’m sure your chances are pretty good; fingers crossed!
  13. Hey, you don’t get results from snapshot but you get your Casper test quartile about a month from when you did it. So if you did it early March you should be getting it soon.
  14. Best of luck! I took mine back in February - I’m not sure if you’ve done a Casper test previously but definitely do the practice test beforehand. It really helps to have some idea of what kind of pressure you’ll be under; 5 minutes per scenario is really not a lot of time! I did mine a week or so after my CASPer - it was… super awkward. Answering interview questions while seeing only your face as feedback is strange to say the least. In actual interviews you can at least gauge the response of your interviewer and adjust accordingly. I definitely stumbled on my words and rambled a bit!
  15. Hey elly, I know some BCIT programs are a first come first served, but the BCIT BSN is a competitive entry program. The applications will all be reviewed at the same time after the deadline (which was early this month I think..?) Hope this helps ?
