  1. I thought I did poorly at my interview for SJO because I thought I spoke too quickly and my interview finished within 15-20 minutes out of the 30 minutes they give us. I was so nervous that I forgot to take my portfolio out of my bag to show them. What I did for prep was a lot of YouTube videos and practicing what I wanted to say about 2 weeks before the interviews with my husband. Even though he was not healthcare, it helped a lot to practice saying what was in my head out loud. I found videos from the Nursing Interview Coach on YouTube to be super helpful. https://www.YouTube.com/@NursingInterviewCoach I also did purchase her template to think of answers to commonly asked questions. It had helpful guides on practicing STAR interview question answering methods. Good luck in your journey to getting a residency spot!
  2. Look at RO Health if you are interested in being a school nurse sub, pay isn't the best but I know they do take new grads no matter what their preferences/qualifications say. I had a friend apply as a new grad and they took her into the School Nurse Agency Registry.
  3. I believe base pay was $42.44 and could be as high as $64
  4. I made a portfolio with Resume, Cover Letter, Letters of Recommendation, License and Certifications. I had it in my bag and was too nervous and didn't get a chance to give it to the panel. Yet somehow they still extended me an offer. It's great to have on hand, but definitely not necessary.
  5. Was it your top unit preference? Looking forward to meeting the group hired on the first day too
  6. CONGRATS! What unit/ shift will you be in?
  7. SJO. I did interview for MV as well, but have not heard back yet
  8. I also just got a call from the Gen Surg Manager and he mentioned that the job offer will say Med Surg, but it will be for Gen Surg.
  9. I Just got an email from SJO as well. I didn't get the unit I showed interest in. They assigned me Med Surg. I'm happy I got notified and am happy with any units. I was also asked to submit my SSN and DOB.
  10. Oh no! I just hope this was a vibe check LOL so as long as they vibed with us they will hire. I practically read the case study back to them for SBAR except the meds pt takes at home cuz physician can see it.
  11. The case study was tough. I wasn't sure if I even said the response they wanted to hear. A friend of mine who worked at MV before that they value high quality SBARs for their shift change reports so that could be why they leaned into that during the interview.
  12. Yes, this is for Mission.
  13. Mission told me next week they should have decisions Nope. It was different units than what they told us was available. I also asked one of the HR personnel and she said they're expecting to hire about 8-10 only. It's so competitive. They're interviewing about 5 people per time slot too
