  1. Hi @Sab86 I ended up not enrolling into the program. I was very disappointment with the school when they were making me sign a contract with different information from what I was told by the representative and financial aid office. For example, since I was done with all my prerequisites, I was going to start on October 2022, but in the contract it said I was starting on April 2022. Financial Aid office told me my total tuition would be $49,000 because I was done with all the prerequisites and the contract said my tuition was $76,000. I told them why the contract had different information and I was told that because "they had to submit the documents to CA Board of Nursing." I told her I can not sign a document that had different information from what I was told if they can give me a separate contract so that can cover me and they did not want to. It said on the contract if I wanted to cancel after starting I had 7 days after the start day to cancel I could get full reimbursement. Well If I was starting on October 2022, I had to cancel by April something. That was my experience with Smith Chason and hopefully others do not go through something like that. The interview was very easy and straightforward. Like why you want to go to that school, etc. Thank god I got accepted into a LACCD nursing program and will be starting this coming Fall 2022. Good luck in your journey.
  2. Just got an email that I was selectected as an Alternative.
  3. Has anyone received an update or an email about orientation? ?
  4. Per LA Valley College nursing page, they hope to send out letter early June. ?
  5. Just created a new post for students who have been accepted into LACC program for Fall 2022.
  6. Hello everyone, I recently got accepted into LACC for Fall 2022 and I am very excited about it. Thought about creating this forum for those students who got accepted into the program as well, to keep ourselves updated, share ideas of what to start buying (school supplies) before hand to not buy everything when about to start, what are you doing to prepare yourself, etc. Any ideas of how the schedule might look like? Can't wait to start the program and meet everyone! ? So far, I have not received any additional emails from the school only the confirmation that my acceptance was received. I think I will start off, by buying the basic items like pens, highlighters, notebooks, folders, etc. Thank you ?
  7. hi @infinityoxox I did not email them back yet, was a little confused about the email not containing my name and waited to see if maybe they had made a mistake LOL but I am about to send my acceptance letter now. I would also like to chat ?
  8. Hi @teee I received an acceptance email, but it does not have my name in it. I feel like calling to confirm. ?
  9. @infinityoxox Completely agree with you! The email sounded so rude! I think it made me feel worst then not receiving one LOL oh well!
  10. Received my email for the next phase as well today. @futuraenfermera11 did you receive the email?
  11. Hi @Jenbelle Did you end up resending your TEAS score? I just emailed them about that and got a response that I do not need to resend the TEAS results. ?
  12. Just got my denial email ?
  13. HI @SMPV_LVN I am a little confused on the Pax exam score since it is my first time taking that exam and applying with Santa Monica College. Out of all the numbers in the results report, which one is the actual score??
  14. I took my PAX exam on 04/06/2022, was told by email to keep an eye on SMC email because they will be sending notification letters soon. ?
  15. HI, Thank you, this is my third time applying to GCC ADN program. Good luck to you and everyone that applied. ? Hope to hear from them soon! ?
  16. No updates yet from LACC.?
  17. Hi @Rogue21cal, Let us know how it goes. It really sucks to see how a very expensive school takes advantage of their students! ?
  18. Have not received anything either. How sad that not even an email to say we did not make it to the second lottery! ?
  19. Hello! I got the email as well for the TEAS exam to be sent to them. I sent it the last application period, which I believe I don't need to send it again. But I am thinking of sending it again to them just to make sure they do get? Not sure! I got a 78.7 on my TEAS ?! I sometimes feel I don't get accepted in the programs because of my TEAS score! Although they say it is "LOTTERY" Good luck to all of us. Hopefully we can get accepted!
  20. Just an update, I saw on a facebook group that Rio Hondo has already started sending acceptance emails. Have not received anything myself. ?
  21. Hello everyone, So I was accepted to start on October 2022 since I am already done with all my prerequisites and general classes. My total tuition was going to be 49k and everything was good until they wanted me to sign an agreement document that said my first day of school was 04/04/2022 and last day to drop school with full tuition was 04/11/2022 and also it said my total tuition cost was $77,000. How in the world was I going to sign an agreement with information that was different from what I was told? If I was going to start on 10/2022 why did I have to sign a paper saying I was starting 04/2022, so what if during those months in between I had an emergency or whatever the case could be, and I had to cancel? My last day to drop/cancel according to the document I signed was 04/11/2022, so what then? Also, why would I sign a paper saying my tuition was $77,000 when financial aid told me it was $49,000? According to the lady that spoke to me, it was just a document so they can submit to BRN but would get another agreement before 10/2022, like NO I needed something in that moment, to cover me not just them and their business. So I decided to withdraw my application because I did not feel comfortable at all. Very sad because I was very excited to finally be accepted into a nursing program, but I can not attend a school that only looks out for themselves. Maybe I was wrong for making that decision, but honestly, since I will be paying out of pocket with no loans, I need to look out for myself, and my money. Just wanted to share my experience! Good luck to those who are already going to this school or have been accepted! ?
