Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) ELMSN 2023
Hi @achoo, Sorry for the late response! There are a few people that live in the area near campus, but I'll be honest with you, the only good thing I think could be said about the Parkland area is its proximity to campus. I live in the Olympia/Lacey area and most mornings my commute is around 30 min. It's a pretty quiet and residential area that's pretty conducive to family life. If you're looking for something closer, I would maybe look in Edgewood (20 min from school), as there are a few more apartment places out there and it's in closer proximity to Tacoma and Seattle if you're looking for weekend fun in the city. South Hill is also a nice little area and probably equal distance as Edgewood, but you'll be a bit more out in the country. There isn't really a good way to avoid commuting to clinicals unfortunately as some of those can really be out in the boonies haha! But it is what it is. We're all pretty stoked to meet you! (my cohort that is). My email is up above, feel free to reach out if you have questions. I may take some time getting back to ya, but I'll respond. Respect! Zach Cristae, Find my email up in the thread and send me a message, I'll give you and Cassandra a low down. Zach

Hey Ryan, Yeah man! Got pulled off the waitlist with a month to get everything squared away. It's been a ride thus far! Frustrating, rewarding, challenging and gratifying. The gambit.. but overall a fun experience. Shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll try and answer what I can. -Zach

Hi J, we've got a few California transplants in our cohort. The general consensus, is that they enjoy WA. Totally understand the hesitancy though, tuition is high and the cost of moving would be rough. Best of luck on a tough decision. -Zach

My application portal did the same. But I didn’t see a place to submit proof of vaccination. Did anyone else?

So I go through Google “Linfield University application portal” and when I sign in to “check my application” it brings me to that page. However, when I click on it (that application) it brings me to the same page everyone has described haha I think it’s because I had two applications in? We should find out tomorrow right?

RJ, I hope you get in there too man.. and we get in. As of now, it just gave me the option to accept a position on the list but nothing about placement. This process is so shrouded in mystery haha. cdahl Baller! Cue the endless Jeopardy theme song.

Great news! I presume that because I was given a generic answer, then I didn't get accepted. Best of luck to you all!
