Completed VA HPMP
I was exciting for about 2 weeks then you realize you have to try harder to stay clean because now you have no one to look over you. You really need to keep the mentality of staying sober/clean. The freedom is definetly nice, but again you have to keep your head screwed on correctly given the new freedom.

No surpises at all nothing changed at all. They don't tell you anything about the process but I know they have a meeting for approval of release and no one told me I was done. I just tried to check in one day and I couldn't. So I called them and they just said you are don't . I got a letter from them 2 weeks later and a letter from the board about one month later. No, they didn't let up on testing. Same frequency the entire 5 years.

License Suspension
I went from hero nurse to working at Target and Jimmy John's Target from 4am-12pm and JJ 4pmg-10pm while doing intensive outpatient rehab. Swallow the pride and do what you have to. Don't aim too high in the beginning. Just aim for a better job each time and keep moving forward. Action takes precedence over sorrow.

I do atleast once a month, probably over paranoid but most people don't seem to have an issue from my experience with diversion in VA HPMP.

VA HPMP legal
There is no way to really tell. If you meat with an investigator and give details it is more likely. I heave heard varying stories and there seems to be no consistency with who gets charged and who doesn't. Also, you may have a warrant and not know about it because they always won't try and find you. I had one friend where they were pulled over for a traffic ticket had been in hpmp for 2 years and there was a warrant.
