Hi everyone, I know this isn't for Kaiser, but if anyone is interested, PIH is currently taking applications for their New Grad residency programs right now (not sure when it closes). the program starts mid October. There's like 3 different applications for 3 different areas and 3 different start dates. (Downey, Whittier, and LA). My interview was notified via email and it's for an individual interview which says can last from 20-25 mins and is at the LAMC location. I am not an internal applicant, do not have a BSN and have never had clinicals at any Kaiser locations.

You know, at first I thought it was med surg but now looking at the job description and application, it doesnt say!! So IDK either. And I thought this was an internal applicant. Are you an internal applicant? I am not... and it was originally, "no longer considered" and since 8/2 it changed to, "talent aquistion review in progress." And it is weird because some interviews are group and this one isn't?

Did anyone else get an email for the individual interviews for dates 8/7, 8/8, 8/12? It was originally for the internal applicant job number 1275527.

Reapply to the new job postings dated 7/22 (more locations opened up also). I think yours was for internal applicants on 7/18 according to the job number.

This is going to sound weird, but they don't drug test. I don't think they do it unless they're suspicious of you being on drugs. Hope that helps! And congrats!! Best nursing program and clinical experience ever!

And whoever didn’t, please keep trying and applying to as many programs as you can before you go private! I applied to 11 and got into two so far! First time I applied (last Spring), I only applied to Rio Hondo and got denied (never put all your eggs in one basket). So for this fall, I applied to 11 (and probably could’ve applied to more) and wcu and so glad I didn’t just give up and settle for wcu. This is my biggest advice, APPLY TO AS MANY AS YOU CAN! Your time will come ?

I got alternate and confirmed my spot. However, when I was replying to ask what number I was, whoever I was emailing kept saying they included and stated the number but I couldn’t find it on the email… so IDK what number I am. But right after, I got accepted to LAC CONAH and took their acceptance. So if I ever get an email that I’m accepted at LACC, I will decline. Good luck to everyone else!

Congratulations! My alternate email made me confirm by emailing them that I wanted to keep my spot. So, if yours required a confirmation email too, then that’s probably how they keep track. I added my student ID# too because on my alternate email they didn’t mention my name either.

Thank you so much! Believe it or not, a simple thing like this shows what kind of person you are, so yes, you will be a great nurse, im sure of it! ? Thank you so much for the information and what your opinions are since they really do matter to me! I love getting feedback and what others would do in my situation. I totally agree with you! If I get accepted somewhere closer to home, I will definitely take that option. However, if this is my only acceptance (lets hope I get accepted somewhere ?) then I would definitely ride it out for 2 years! Rather than pay for WCU ? ... Again! Thank you soooooo much! YOU ARE AWESOME! As much as you adore everyone in your cohort, they are as lucky to have you. I’ve read past forums and your replies and how much you care about this program doesn’t go unnoticed.
