I Finally Passed!!!! Whooopieee!!!!
Hi Courtney, The Kaplan RN Complete really helped me along with studying content from the Saunder's Book....what a great reference. The key is to do as many questions as you can. Take notes on what you don't understand, look it up, and review those notes. I did about 1000 the week before the test and didn't study the day before. Good luck! I know you can do it!

Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the support!

Waiting....hoping....
Hi Hamburg....don't worry. Are you an international student? Maybe they are missing some info like SSN? They usually mail failed results around two weeks after the test so hopefully since it's sooner.....this is good news! Keep me updated!

Waiting....hoping....
Hi Hamburg, Yesterday I called the BRN just to make sure my file is complete. Sometimes a transcript or fingerprint paperwork can hold up your results. Don't give up hope.....a friend of mine waited 2 weeks before his name posted on the web. I'll be thinking of you...good luck!! :)

I Finally Passed!!!! Whooopieee!!!!
Hi...I must be dreaming because today I looked on the BRN site and my name was posted. I can't believe it's finally my turn. This NCLEX experience has been quite a struggle. After failing twice and many many tears and hours of hard work later I am a REGISTERED NURSE. The best part of it all is that I've been given a second chance for a new grad NICU position. I am so excited and loving life right now. No matter how hard this obstacle seems keep striving and reaching for this goal....Much love to all who are preparing and waiting for results....my day finally came and it WILL come for you!!!! PEACE!

Waiting....hoping....
Hi Student, Nope...no news yet. I couldn't help but call the BRN today even though it's only been 2 days. This guy said I have "nothing to worry about" but I'm not gonna hold my breath to that statement. Yesterday I went to Disneyland and today I'm gonna take my son to the park.... just so I can get out of the house and stop obsessing. Still waiting.....

Waiting....hoping....
Hi Hope, It's not over until you get your official notice...so try and keep your head up. That's what I'm trying to do. :) After failing for the 2nd time, I cried for about 5 minutes....felt sorry for myself...then decided that there must be something I'm not doing right. This time around I went back to Kaplan and did their in-class review, completed their QBank of about 1000 questions, and did an additional 1000 review questions from Kaplan the week before the test. I didn't go to work for about 2 weeks prior to my exam because I really had to focus everything I had on this study period. I hope it all paid off because I'm not sure what else I could've done. I did Saunder's and Mosby's in the past, but Kaplan seemed to best prepare me. We'll see if it worked....hopefully we both passed!!!

Select all that apply!
Hi Lisa, Good luck to you....I just finished with 75 too. Hopefully by the end of the week, we'll both be new RNs! Wouldn't that be great?

Waiting....hoping....
I finished my NCLEX-RN today with 75 questions. I was surprised it stopped at 75 because this is my third time and I've had to answer 265, 265 for my previous attempts. Like most, I got many priority questions and probably 4-5 select all that apply. I recognized that the exam was hard, but I tried my best and applied what I know to eliminate the wrong answers. I went back to Kaplan for the second time and did about 1000 questions at the study center the week before the test....I hope it was worth it. Good luck to everybody preparing for this exam. It's a lot of hard work and definitely NOT an experience worth repeating.

NCLEX is Killing ME! 265 times two!
Hi Redhead, Just like everyone, I'm not exactly sure what the passing standard is but the computer determines you pass with 95% confidence. Good luck and I wish the very best to you! Go 265!

Waiting to retake in CA
The 91 to 45 day rule is just for the state of Ca.

took test today pray pray for me!!!!!
Hey BBgirl, I'm here for you too. Please let us know how you did. You'll probably find out faster than me since I'm in California. Ya know...I have a strong feeling you passed and I can't wait to hear your good news! We've suffered and worked so hard for this...we will pass!

Waiting to retake in CA
Hey M3, The new rule just started in Jan. 2006. You only have to wait 45 days in California now, but the passing standard has been raised and something like 3% more test takers won't pass....don't quote me on that statistic. The standard was raised because safety issues have been a big concern.

NCLEX is Killing ME! 265 times two!
Hi Everybody and thanks so much for your words of encouragement! I'm not sure what to think anymore, but I find it hard to function everyday without thinking about this stupid test all the time. My husband probably thinks I'm crazy because it's all I ever talk about. It's so emotionally consuming and I'm even having dreams about the exam...now come on...that's really weird! I'm so glad I found this website because I know most of you are going through the same thing and I've seen a lot of support shown here. I'm not super religious, but I'll definitely be returning prayers for all of you. Let's all stay hopeful.

NCLEX is Killing ME! 265 times two!
I feel like I'm having REALLY BAD deja vu. I took my NCLEX in January with 265 questions and didn't pass. That was a nightmare. I waited three weeks to get my failing results and got near passing on every section. I just re-tested on 2/28 and AGAIN got 265 questions. Lucky me. I felt just awful after this second test. I took all the time I needed and only had 5 minutes left on the clock! By the time it ended I just wanted to go home and curl up into a ball. The test was even harder the second time. There were priority, delegation, meds, no math, and one multiple choice. There were questions I would read and just ask myself "what?!" Then after reading the four choices I still asked myself "what?!" Man, this can't be happening to me....again! After my first test I called the CA BRN and found out my transcripts were holding up results. Last week I just thought I'd make sure everything was complete...and it is. The person I talked to said I should be getting results "shortly" and "real soon" in a kind of I can't tell you anything directly sort of way. Then I got the mixed message that I should look "in the mail." So anyways it's been 4 update cycles and waiting through the weekend has been the hardest ever....torture really....and I don't want to lose hope. I'm so tempted to call the CA BRN again, but I know I shouldn't harass them. So if anybody has some spare prayers out there for me I could sure use them. I've been waiting for this so long! Any cali fans out there?

repeat testers
It will be about 6 weeks for me too, but everybody's different. Good luck! I'll be taking my NCLEX for the 2nd time tomorrow!

IP become invalid if you fail NCLEX????
Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I took the NCLEX on 1/13 and did not pass. My IP license is still popping up as valid on the BRN website. I was wondering about the same thing while waiting for my result.
