  1. Have you tried CVS MinuteClinic? Also, did HCC provide a list of clinics the offer student discounts? Fortunately, PHSC provided us with clinic facilities the will do student physicals for $25.
  2. I got in for Spring 2022, I hope all of you are doing well in the program so far. Has anyone started clinicals?
  3. I was recently accepted at Pasco College so I will cancel my appeal with HCC
  4. Yes I’m waiting to hear back, Cohort 1 was my first option and Cohort 4 was my second. It doesn’t matter which of the two I get into.
  5. I was hoping to get into the Dale Mabry or Plant City location. I live in Pasco county so both of them are the same distance from me. I also applied to a small community college in my county but, they don't have as many partnerships as HCC ?
  6. My Pre-Reqs include BSC 1085 & Lab, BSC 1086 & Lab, MCB 2000 & Lab, MAT 1105, SYG 2000, & ENC 1101 For the upper division courses, I've taken DEP X004, HUN 2201, PHI 1600, PSY 2012, STA 2023, ENC 1102, & CHM Yes, I did see that they were approved for a BSN program, which is awesome and affordable. I can't wait until they post more details about it
  7. They will only count the pre-req GPA, nothing additional. But your GPA is awesome, you will likely get in for fall. The cut off is usually between 3.5 - 3.7 depending on the applicants. Are you taking the BSN pre-reqs as the additional courses? If so, I got them out the way too.
  8. Yes, I followed the appeal instructions at the bottom of the email and the counselor approved it to be submitted to the Nursing committee. Although, the deadline was yesterday. But, she noted it doesn't guarantee a spot in the program; its just an attempt.
  9. Well I had 4 points deducted from my GPA which was a 3.49 initially, and the cut-off for Spring was a 3.2(fairly low) so I didn't make the cut. Although I did submit an appeal with my explanation for the withdrawals.
  10. No, I've taken all of my prereqs prior to the application date. I've already taken the TEAS. I was just waiting to be accepted.
  11. Thanks for those words of encouragement, I'm praying we get accepted. But my HCC GPA is apparently too low since I withdrew from a course twice. They deduct points for that!
  12. @AWilgo I'm attempting to appeal and pour my little heart out. I'm going try again for Fall "22 as well.
  13. Aww congratulations to you all. I didn't get accepted as I thought my pre-req GPA was higher than it is. I guess due to previously failing and retaking ENC and SYG. However, I have A's in both retakes. I'm kinda sad now.
  14. Hi all, I'm new to allnurses and saw this thread, so I decided to post. I applied for the Spring cohort as well. I'm wishing the best for us all and praying we all get accepted. What is your preferred location if selected? I'm happy if I get accepted into the Plant City or Dale Mabry program.
