  2. I should add that my church is fairly open to the idea. They had a parish nurse some years ago, who was an RN. She’s quite elderly and no longer works at all. I think we may have to consider tweaking the job description a bit if I end up with the position. Also, I’m not sure how “practice under the supervision of an RN or MD” would work in this case.
  3. Not that I’ve found, but I think there are some distance learning programs available.
  4. I’m currently a retired LPN and I’m interested in volunteering as a parish nurse, or health ministry associate. Can anyone give me any guidance?
  5. Are any of you serving as parish nurses, faith community nurses, or health ministry staff? My church has approached me about looking into this, but I don’t know what the requirements are. I’ve contacted my state board, but haven’t heard back yet.
