  1. What's the name of the FB group? the link isn't working for me for some reason. thanks!
  2. Does anyone have experience with getting a CA license by endorsement recently? (Particularly if your license is from PA). PA does not use nursys or breeze so I want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly so I don't make the process longer. In addition, has anyone gone to the BON in Sacramento? Can I go there and submit all my documents in person to make the process faster? I know the process is long and horrible, please be nice in comments and TIA!!
  3. Hi! I applied as well, I hope we hear back soon!!
  4. Is anyone who is interviewing coming with a license from a different state and needs to endorse it? I know CA BRN takes forever but I also don't want to pay so much if I won't end up getting a job offer...not sure what to do.
  5. That's awesome! Good luck, let us know how they go!
  6. Yeah...definitely very risky haha it was probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make and I'm still not sure if it was the correct one but nothing to do now! I'm from the east coast and have always wanted to move towards the west so I've applied to several hospitals on the west coast/colorado but CHCO is my top choice. My gut told me to keep trying for where I think I will be happier so that's why I declined it. We'll see what happens haha!! Did you have your interview with the CO Springs NICU?
  7. Hey! I think it doesn't hurt to email them and ask but I don't think it is going to help speed up their decision or anything. I was in the same situation. I had an offer from another top children's hospital but am more interested in CHCO so emailed them and let them know. They didn't respond for a long time and I ended up declining the other offer and just praying for the best! Super scared now haha. But they responded to me yesterday and told me that some units have begun inviting people for interviews, while other units have not even started. They said you can get an interview invite until June 30th. But that's all they were able to share with me. Maybe they'll tell you something else if you email though!
  8. I saw!! thank you so much, I'm excited. anyone have any tips for applying?
  9. I had actually asked the recruiter about this since critical care only had 2 units hiring this time and he said they are doing things a bit differently this time and the powerpoint wasn't changed so I can choose any unit as my third choice. I ended up putting NICU, PICU, then oncology. But, I too did not get an invite to interview and I'm wondering if that was the reason. I really hope the recruiter didn't lead me astray because I also feel my resume is very strong with a peds internship, peds senior preceptorship, and working as a tech. Very upsetting as I turned down a great offer at Children's National in hopes of getting an offer at Seattle Children's.
  10. Oh gosh haha I applied to critical care ??
  11. That's awesome! Hopefully, starting today they'll invite external applicants. I'm also coming from across the country and hoping that doesn't ruin my chances.
  12. Congrats, do you work at SCH?
  13. I didn’t hear anything today ?
  14. I'd assume it is! For Anchutz or Colorado Springs?
  15. Hey @sydneyrach !! Have you heard any updates from CHLA?
  16. Hi, I'm in a similar situation and was wondering your opinion. I've applied to several pediatric new grad residencies and have heard back from one so far. They offered me a position but not on my first choice unit. The hospital is great though and I know it is a great place to start as a new grad. The other places I've applied to will only start inviting people for interviews during the next few weeks, so I won't know if I get an interview or get a position until mid-June probably. And then, who knows if it will be in my top choice unit. But all 3 of those hospitals are in cities that I would prefer to live in. Should I decline this offer even though it is at a highly ranked hospital in hopes of getting an offer elsewhere? Should I accept and then renege if I get something else? I'm really stumped on what to do because I don't want to let an opportunity to work at a top children's hospital slip by but I also don't want to settle and really do want my top choice unit. Any advice is appreciated!
  17. I just graduated last week! I was offered the job on HKU! I am waiting to hear back from another hospital and then will make my decision!
  18. awesome! I'm interviewing tomorrow with HKU too. good luck!
  19. Has anyone interviewed with a unit manager yet? And if so, how was it??
  20. Thanks for the information! I didn't know that about Kravis so that's good to know. I applied to NYU and already talked with a recruiter. I'm still trying to figure out how to apply to Morgan Stanley. From the website info it seems like I just need to wait until there's a job posting that accepts people without experience? But for the past 2 months I haven't seen any so do I just keep waiting?
  21. I got a call today for an interview with HKU today!
  22. Hey! I think it went well! I want to work in peds so since this was just the general recruiter she told me now that she'll send all of my info over to the pediatric recruiter and she should reach out to me soon. I know their children's hospital is very small and generally has long waitlists to get a job so I'm not expecting anything soon but this seems like a step in the right direction ? how was yours?
  23. Hi! I applied on 4/1 and I got an email yesterday from a recruiter. Great, thanks. Good luck to you too!
  24. Hey! I hope your phone call with the recruiter went well. I have a call set up for Tuesday and was wondering what it was like/what did they ask, etc. Thanks!
