Tots understandable! Columbia is 2.5 years while most other NP programs are 4 years Times tuition cost I think so that could help look at things differently. but yea Columbia is definitely very expensive and with cost of living added as well.

Did anyone submit their FAFSA for Columbia already? I would say it depends on what your end goal is! I read that the DNP is going to be required for most NP’s in the future.. but not sure.

How do we defer to next year?? Do we have to email and request that?

If all classes are virtual for first semester, Does this mean we don’t need to necessary be in new York this Summer for classes?

Yes PMHNP! I applied to Columbia, UW and Iowa! I just recently graduated so my psych experiences are from clinicals and I did my senior internship on a psych unit. I’m hoping my essays are strong enough for them to see my passion. I have international experience through volunteering in Jamaica at community clinics. I’m also a first generation student with foreign language minor.

I also applied to UW. does anyone know anything about acceptance rates for this program in general? It’s hard to find info about this online I know 800 apply for their MDE/DNP program and they accept about 230
