  1. It was a low risk case because we were wearing surgical masks and goggles.
  2. My unit takes fresh surgical patients and COVID patients. They are on opposite ends of the hallway LOL so I guess that's something...
  3. I experienced a COVID exposure with a patient two weeks ago at my hospital. A swab was done for screening purposes, and it unexpectedly came back positive. The patient was not on precautions. I did not need to quarantine or test, and I was OK to return to work as long as I was asymptomatic.
  4. As long as it is cleared by the attending, and the patient is competent to make that decision, I see no problem with it. I don't get emotionally invested.
  5. Thank you OP for posting this. For a while, I thought I was the only one who thought this.
