I ask myself the same thing. Honestly I would’ve still picked Hopkins because of my scholarship, But during my Maryland interview for the 3 year FNP program, they told me that their 3 year FNP program is “rigorous and is mostly reserved for military nurses.” They are afraid that if their “non-military 3 year students cannot work during the 3 years then the students won’t be able to have a place to practice assessment skills outside of school.” (I thought that’s what clinicals are for...). Also if that’s the case they should’ve just disclosed that on their website instead of telling me that during my interview. Mind you, my interview was first week of January with Maryland, and I got my waitlist email this week with no updates in between.

Sorry to hear... I was waitlisted by Maryland but accepted by Hopkins. Hopkins gave me 3 weeks to pay $500 deposit to secure my spot.

Hey I applied to the 3 year FNP program and I got the areas of excellence scholarship I applied for with my admission letter last Wednesday.

Just tried to check on the status of my application like I do every other day. But my application no longer shows up, it just says "Review Your Program Selections" and when I click on "Continue To My Application" there is an error message?? Anyone else experiencing this?

Oh I didn’t even notice the update. That’s interesting. I interviewed for the 3 year FNP at the Shady Grove campus and I wonder why they haven’t made a decision about my application yet

If you mean the January 1st deadline, I have not yet. My interview for the FNP 3 year track was in mid Feb. Hoping for good news soon!

I think they asked us to indicate which track we are applying on our applications so maybe that is how the interviewers know. Yes, you are right! Nothing we can do about it now so... Jesus takes the wheel!

Yes...those exact words. I am so glad I was not the only one who heard that...I was honestly so discouraged after hearing that, but I stood firm with my decision on pursuing the FNP 3 year track. I think that they have been struggling with finding clinical sites for 3 years students and probably got overwhelming amounts of applications this year so they have to be more careful with their acceptances. I wish I could tell you but honestly that threw me off so much I did not even ask them about acceptance notification method or timeline.

I interviewed early January. Felt that during the interview there was a sense of urgency for them to persuade me into considering the 4 year track instead of the 3 year track I applied to. Did you experience that as well? Thank you! You as well ?
