Does anyone have any insight into what nursing at Mayo Clinic is like? I was offered a new grad Oncology job at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN but live in/went to nursing school in the Bay Area, CA. I know that Mayo Clinic is ranked as one of the best for Oncology but I have heard some questionable things about how they handled their nursing strike last year. I have also applied to New Grad programs in CA but they don't even do interviews till late January or early February. Moving would be a big change but I am mentally preparing myself for lots of snow and hoping I can make friends there. Does anyone know what the transition might look like and if it is rough?

Yeah! I got accepted on July 8th for the Fall 2021 semester :) I’ve heard of a couple other people who got accepted late as well!

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to reply to emails? I've emailed them twice in the last week about my spot on the alternate list and still haven't gotten a reply ?

Congrats on getting accepted btw! Its super encouraging knowing that not everyone in nursing school gets in on their first try haha.

Yeah its my first time! I got rejected from a bunch and waitlisted for 2. I might just end up doing my alternate major at SJSU if I don't get in to Chico tbh.

Wow I didn't realize the waitlist was so long! Well hopefully I get in haha. Just heard back from being on the waitlist for another school that told me all their spots are filled now ?

Thanks! Do you know how many people they usually waitlist? I saw a Chico Nursing Club video where a girl said she was 20th on the waitlist and got in??

I had 92 points so I'm guessing I'm kind of low on the waitlist but I'm hopeful!

Does anyone know when people who got accepted have to make their decision by? I'm on the waitlist and I'm trying to figure out when I'll hear back since the nursing department hasn't replied to any of my emails.

The email I received said that my ranking on the alternate list is “Alt #”. Does anyone know if this means I’m not on the waitlist or if it’s just a mistake??

I was told I have to wait till May 27 again ?

Has anyone that got waitlisted heard back from USF yet? The previous email said they'd let us know by the end of the day on May 18 but I want to know if they're letting everyone know at once or as spots open up...?
