Hii! Congratulations on your offers! yes this happened to me too. I got an offer from sharp grossmont a couple months ago for April and then I got offered scripps right before Christmas which is my dream hospital. I left a voicemail for sharp to decline the offer I already accepted and then sent my onboarding advisor an email as well. She was really nice and congratulated me! So don't feel bad just do what's best for you ?

So I did a CNA program awhile back.. and I was in the exact same position as you! I needed a few vaccines and then prove immunity after with titers also. My professors at that other school were totally fine with it as long as I showed proof I got vaccinated and was in the process of being immune. I’m sure these professors will be the same! ? also I doubt we will be in hospitals anytime soon so you’ll be immune anyway before then too

I got mine back on Friday and she said I’m immune to everything so I didn’t need further vaccines. But just show proof that you got vaccinated like with the flu shot and they’ll totally be fine with it! As long as you’re vaccinated you’re good! ☺️

I’m pretty sure we will get info mid week or even Thursday. I haven’t tried that yet because I’m assuming they are going to take roll of who’s in the orientation on Friday and let go of anyone who didn’t make it so they can take the wait listed people and add them to our class. I’m sure they will give us instructions on how to do it by the 2nd or 3rd orientation! Have you guys signed up for any CPR classes yet? I think it said they’ll give us that info during orientation right?

Yes I got it! So go on the NSNA website and you sign up for their membership. You have to pay $80 for it. And then the malpractice insurance I got is on nurse service organization website. It’s NSO.com and it’s only $20 a year. They will email you a certificate.

Yeah that’s frustrating if you don’t know yet especially if you spend all this money on the bloodwork and everything ugh. I hope you guys get in! You should ask her when they will know if you’re in the program or not. But yeah they sent the zoom link for the fire safety course last night and all the documents for physical exam, bloodwork, and dental exam were sent last week.

Yeah I did! Have you guys done any doctor stuff yet? I did my physical yesterday and got my shots. And I just did bloodwork today and getting my drug test at 2!

Thank you so much! I'm creating the account right now. I still don't see the paperwork for the doctors unfortunately. I think I am going to do all the blood work and stuff next week and if they give us forms I will just go back and have them fill it out what they need too.

Yeah things are tight for me right now too. Unfortunately I got laid off from my job so I’m not working right now. That’s why I don’t know if I want to do a cal state because they’re pretty pricey. My friend is going to do Ohio university online and it’s extremely cheap so I may or may not go that route. But I’m in the same boat as you where I may wait til I’m done with pierce.

Honestly I’m in the same boat as you. I’ll be 26 in 3 weeks and it’s taken me such a long time to get to where I am today! But we got here and that’s all that matters haha are you going to get your bachelors degree in nursing? That’s what I’m asking with what school you guys are going to get it at?

Oh okay nice! I didn’t apply to lacc this time around. I heard Pierce is a great program and we get a clinical preceptorship at the end of the 4th semester which is so important in getting a job! Where are you guys thinking of doing your bachelors degrees? The cal state schools are a little pricey so I’m trying to find one that’s cheaper, but I’m not sure yet. awesome! Thanks for the info.

This is my second round and I didn’t think I was going to get in anywhere since I got denied to all the other schools! I was shocked when I got this acceptance LOL
