Hi! I’m currently in the AD nursing program at UofA and I did my undergrad at UVic! I did my previous degree in biochemistry and I used MICR 408 (microbial pathogenesis) as the medical Microbiology pre-requisite I thought I used a document indicating what the course equivalencies are but I cannot find it anywhere! I’m sure there must be other course equivalencies besides MICR408. I would try and email the faculty of nursing to see if they can give you a more clear answer. I hope this helps :)

I received an update around 4pm today that I met the requirements of my conditional offer. I am so excited! Is there a group or a page started for the cohort yet?! I'd love to start getting to know everyone before September!!

I’m pretty far down on the waitlist. In the email it indicates how you scored for grades, supplemental, and casper

May 1st was the deadline to accept and pay the tuition deposit

I have received and accepted my offer! I’m just finishing up a pre-req right now. I hope they include Winter 2021 in calculation for aGPA. I’m sitting at 90’s in both classes ? I know UBC has their aGPA cutoff for this intake as of December 2020. I was unsure if UofA had a cutoff too.

I reached out to student connect a couple of weeks ago and they mentioned that the tuition deposit would be refunded if they revoked the offer of admission I.e. if you didn’t meet the competitive AGPA, so at least there’s that ? Does anyone know if classes completed this semester (Winter 2021) are included in AGPA calculations!?

Ahh that stresses me out. So what are they basing the conditional offers on? I’m confused by that.

I wrote CASPer in January, they received it February 2nd and I received the conditional offer February 11th!

I don’t blame you, UBC’s supplemental was intense, I’m super nervous about mine. I’m in the same boat, I was worried about my chances getting in so I applied to all the schools I had the pre-reqs for. I think I’ll be accepting UofA soon too. It’d be awesome if we were in the same cohort!

I applied to 4 schools, UofA, UBC, Dalhousie, and KPU. I think UofA and UBC are equally my top choices since they’re both amazing programs. UBC would just be a shorter move. what programs did you apply to!? And what’s your top choice? and that’s really helpful info! Thank you so much!! Super encouraging to hear.

I have applied to other places and I am kinda waiting to hear back! But I’m also waiting to see if UofA releases the competitive AGPA to get in. I’m a little nervous on what it will be this year. Do you know if they let applicants know what the AGPA is for the current application cycle!? I’m hoping they wouldn’t extend a conditional offer if I wasn’t close. But I’m still anxious about it LOL

I submitted my application within the first few days of it opening and I wrote my CASPer in January! I'm sure you did great!! Probably just so many applications coming in right before the deadline it slowed them down on their end

Hi! I received a conditional offer and I’m from BC too. I received my offer about a month after writing CASPer

I wrote Casper Jan 12th, UofA updated launchpad saying they received my Casper score Feb 2nd, and I received a conditional offer on Feb 11th. Hope this helps!!

Thank you everyone! I'm a little nervous because it's conditional on meeting the competitive GPA for this year. I'm really bummed they're not counting Winter 2020 in the admission GPA because I did really well that semester. Does anyone know if courses from Winter 2021 will count toward it? I'm not 100% sure what my AGPA is but I think its around a 3.4 or 3.5. I took CASPer on January 12th, launchpad updated saying they received the score on February 2nd, and I received the conditional offer on the 11th!
