  1. I'm starting a NP real soon, but I'm not a MCCDNP student. I am at EAC on the Gila Community Campus. We start next week Monday and Tuesday orientation days, then my block 1 starts Wednesday. Traditional semesters, I'm excited and nervous too.
  2. i found this website, that has labs all over and you just sign up for your lab work and take your printed copy to the lab and have all your titers done for 120 bucks. the results will be available online in 2 or 3 days just print it out. it's a good idea if titers are needed because they are all included for one price, mmr, hep b, varicella. http://www.personalabs.com/locations.aspx
  3. Where I work this practice is considered "old school" as we use to do that but have since updated, when it comes to actually walking down the hall, and giving a report on each patient. This is considered a breech of confidentiality and we must respect each patients privacy when talking out loud in the hall. So now a days a report is done in unoccupied room or conference room. Sometimes the night CNA may just write down pertinent info that happened during the night and give it to me before leaving.
  4. Until they raise the cap, I am as far as I can go at $13.50. Night shift would pay 2 bucks more. No annual raise nothing (dead end job). Glad I won't be a CNA forever.
