  1. Thanks for stopping in to share your experiences. Good luck with the remainder of the program and landing your first nursing position.
  2. Hi all, I completely forgot to update that I was accepted into the program ? looking forward to meeting everyone!
  3. Thank you! I submitted mine closer to the deadline and of course that’s also right before the holidays. Hopefully I’ll come back on with good news in the coming weeks. Congratulations again
  4. How long ago did you submit your application? I am trying to determine the wait time.
  5. Congrats! I was under the impression that acceptance letters wouldn’t go out until January or February.
  6. Great question. I am also curious. Personally, I have not, but I am trying to remain hopeful because there’s still quite a bit of time before the start date in May.
  7. I did. I accepted the offer (a second time) just in case.
  8. Congrats on coming off the waitlist. How exciting. Did you happen to call or discuss your application at all? Just trying to decide my luck and hold out on a little hope.
  9. I am also in the same boat. Thank you for asking this question.
  10. Congrats to everyone that received an acceptance email! I was waitlisted, so not the best news, but not a rejection. Trying to stay hopeful for a spot.
  11. Agreed. Today the mail didn’t run, but I do hope that they’re mailed out this week. Either way, it should be soon. Ekkk.
  12. I do know they will be released and mailed this month. I did call the SON to ask since there seemed to be a slight discrepancy between dates. One place stated 12-14 weeks after application deadline and the other said sometime in October. Looking back through prior threads, it seems that letters are mailed between Columbus Day-ish and the 24th. Hopefully, we’ll have a answer in 2 weeks or less.
  13. I am hoping to know within the next week or two, but we’ll see. Time is definitely dragging now, and I find myself becoming increasingly more nervous. If anyone happens to receive any notifications, please come on and let everyone know to be on the lookout.
  14. It’s getting closer. If/when anyone receives a letter, please update to let everyone know. Hopefully, we’ll know in just a few short weeks.
  15. Hooray it’s October 1, we should have our letters by the end of the month and know either way. T-minus 30 days or less (but hey, who’s counting)
  16. I, too, noticed the conflicting information. After scoping prior threads, it seems that anywhere between the second and last week of October seems relatively normal. I am sure that many things go into the variation. Additionally, I wonder if COVID may affect the decision process in any way. I am starting to become a little impatient as the days draw closer. Nevertheless, I hope the wait is shorter rather than longer.
  17. Best of luck! I hope you get into UNC since it’s your first choice ?
  18. I also only applied to UNC-CH. It’s a little frightening to place all your eggs in one basket, but I am trying to remain hopeful and optimistic, focusing on other things until letters are mailed. The wait does feel a little tough. Hopefully, letters will be mailed out in just over a month or so. Best of luck!
  19. As for me, I had a 3.7 undergrad GPA and A’s in the prerequisites, but not nearly the healthcare experience.
  20. Impressive! There’s no need to feel any bit unqualified.
  21. Those are impressive stats, It is easy to feel under-qualified, but remain hopeful. My GPA isn’t that high. I am also hoping for the best, but attempting to remain realistic. Personally, I did not apply elsewhere. UNC is my dream school. Does anyone else care to share their GPA info or a little about themselves?
  22. Hello all, I also submitted my application as well. I am nervous, but also hopeful, eager, and excited. I wanted to stop in and wish everyone the best of luck at acceptance. May the wait pass by quickly.
  23. Hello All, I am stopping in to wish everyone the best of luck in acceptance. I am nervous, but incredibly hopeful that I will be accepted into the program.
