  1. I know this post was 10 years ago but did you ever return to PICU ? If so, was it a good decision? Are you still there?
  2. I know this is super late but I applied for my DC License in November 2020 and just received it at the end of February 2021. The check was cashed way beforehand.
  3. I’ve worked at INOVA as a new grad over 10 yrs ago. I completed Their New Grad Program. It was an amazing place to work back then. I worked on Pediatrics Med-Surg and then did a Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship and worked in the PICU which was equally amazing. Not sure what it is like now though. I work for Children’s now . I worked at the Main Campus and did a Cardiac Fellowship worked in the CICU for a few years. When the commute got to be too much I transferred to an Outpatient Center. Both experiences have been great! Children’s is growing and evolving so there are so many opportunities. They pay extremely well. I believe better than INOVA. I hope that gives you some insight! Good Luck!
  4. If your still looking. Check out Howard County. The school systems are good and depending on where you live in Howard County you will be anywhere from a 20 min to 40 min drive into the city. I live in Western Howard County for the small town life. Very close knit community and teachers are amazing. That being said there are places you can live that are more suburban and close to shops, dining, and activities. ( more enjoyable after COVID). Tons of parks no matter where you live in Howard County. Good Luck on your search’
  5. Hi , How is it going in the PICU ? I have been out for about 8 years but I am ready to return. I have the old version of the Core Curriculum that I have begun to read until I have find a job. Have you adjusted and did you feel like your skills came back easily? Thanks and hope all is well.
