Walden FNP Review
I have contemplated about the program for years. Argosy University recently shut their doors and students are SOL. The problem of retrieving transcripts for them crossed my mind (my bro-in-law is a grad from there) and they were a private for profit school, like Walden. So I worried a big deal about that happening. No one cares about your BSN it seems. LOL. But everyone in California seems so picky about your MSN degree. Your post isn't discouraging me, it is enlightening me to make a different decision with my future education goals. Thanks so much!

Walden FNP Review
Thank you for this. I finished by BSN at Walden just because I wanted to get it done! I've contemplated MSN-FNP here, but glad to read this. A true perspective. I am in California now and will be looking at local schools. Very competitive here though. Might be looking at private schools again. Sigh...

FNP Programs
HI there! I'm from MN and have you looked on BON site? Walden University is completely 100% online. I did get my BSN from Walden. Very flexible and doable. But I moved to California so I will not use Walden here. California is a bit stuck up about not using California schools. So, look up Walden University. It is accredited and the MN BON approved. I don't think anyone else in MN is completely online. Otherwise, some of my co-workers in MN that did online CNM and FNP did Frontier University, Maryville University, and at one point I was looking at University of Cincinnati. I know the gals that did Frontier and Maryville found employment right away afterwards. Walden does not place you in clinicals though! You must find your own. That's the hardest thing is finding a preceptor so look and ask early!

Holy Names University in Oakland
Hi there! I am looking into this school for MSN-FNP. It's about 30k cheaper than Samuel Merritt, Western, and the same as West Coast, but that's Socal. Anyway, just wondering if you started? The enrollment person told me he wasn't enrolling for Spring 2021 yet? How competitive is it to get admitted? Apparently CSU schools are very competitive unless you are alumni and I moved to California only two years ago from out of state, so my degree doesn't get me in the door fast enough to any CSU or UC schools it seems. Also, are there any new reviews of this school? I did find someone on FB that attended and he loved it, but just thought I could fish for new updates. Thanks.
