Galen April 2020
I'd love to be a part of the study group! Thanks!! I don't think you will have any issues with your class transferring in. They said as long as it isn't more than 5 years you should be good. No classes yet but after you pay your registration fee and background check, they set you up with new student orientation online. It's easy, it just shows you how to get around online and where to find things. Regarding your first semester classes they will register you for those between weeks 7-9 of the current semester. From the 2nd semester on you will need to register yourself. It's all been pretty easy so far and they are very organized. I Look forward to meeting you ?

Oh good! That is so exciting and nice to find someone who is in the same boat! Awesome you have LPN behind you! I have to retake A&P 1 and college math since mine are over 5 years old. I'm sure will have a few classes together ? With this whole stay at home order I can't get started fast enough! I've already completed my student orientation LOL. Let me know if you need anything ?

Nursing programs in Tampa (HCC, USF, UT)
I haven't checked Utica. I too have looked for reviews for all the schools and ruled out Rasmussen based on reviews. I recently did a CPR course and the instructor said Galen is a really good private school. CONGRATS on upcoming graduation! Good luck where ever you land ?

Galen April 2020
Hi, I'm Jen, I'm starting in July. I'm pretty excited. Not happy that some of my classes didn't transfer in but no big deal, a refresher will be good. AleaKay, are you starting in July?

Portage Learning courses and Rasmussen
Hi BrownG, did you happen to start at Rasmussen? If so, what are your thoughts?

Nursing programs in Tampa (HCC, USF, UT)
Nisa.33 did you make it into any programs yet. While community colleges are the most affordable, I'm so tired of waiting to get in. Now with this COVID thing TEAS exams have been cancelled or rescheduled until after application deadlines. I've finally decided to go drive all the way to St. Pete to attend Galen. It's private and yes more expensive but I believe it is a good choice. Rasmussen is another private and is closer to me but I'm hearing so many horror stories. USF is an option but because I already have a BA and my GPA is just below 3.0 they won't even look in my direction. I hope you make it into a school soon!

I've been accepted at St. Pete College!
Hi Nurse_in the making, I think your post is the most recent post for a student attending Galen St. Pete. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing you opinion with me about the program the school and so on. I'm getting ready to begin there most likely in St. Pete because COVID has placed a halt on TEAS exams so community colleges are out for now. Galen seems like a well put together program but what are your thoughts? Is it the real deal or does it look better than it really is? I hope you don't mind sharing these details. I also noticed you requested for a different instructor, I didn't realize you could do that so awesome! my first semester I have to retake A&P1 due to mine being outside of 5 years old. Who do you recommend? I hope you are well and any input will be great! Also, do they have you doing clinical's at a hospital with the whole COVID 19, or are you in simulations?
