  1. Hi! Thank you! When I applied to SPP I only had one reference from my professor who is also department head. I believed it was in hard copy and I mailed everything to North bay!
  2. I think if there is any spots it would probably be on this Friday? The wait is indeed very long!
  3. Oh I don't think people in waitlist group 2 got an email said something about being top 15 in group 2, but there were people in group 2 got off the waitlist in 2018 forum, and I think he/she just got the acceptance at the end of August and no email at the beginning at August stated he/she was among top 15 in group 2, so I found that very weird. Maybe it's a new thing this year considering all the pandemic situation, some people might choose to defer their acceptance due to various reason, maybe online clinical since we only get two years of compressed program....
  4. Hi! Are you also in the top 15 in group 2 waitlist? I totally agree with what you said that COVID is making everything unpredictable, and by reading previous forum that it is very strange for people in waitlist group 2 to receive any emails like the one we got. So part of me think that there is hope!
  5. Yes by 24th I meant someone might decide not to attend UofT by last minute due to any reasons, and there indeed were people who got admitted at the last days of August and even the day before school started (I think in 2017 forum someone mentioned that). So there might still be hope! However I do not know if in previous years that the spots were full before the end of August. It just two weeks! We can do this! And whatever happens, I know that you will end up somewhere even next year, and a lot of people do apply second time and got in!
  6. That is exactly what I thought, but I checked the 2018 forum, and people did get acceptances around August 30th. I then check the UofT website, August 24th is the last day to register in the program. Perhaps they mean if for some reasons people decide to not register in the program, then they will still admit students on the waitlist. That being said, if they confirm the spots are full right now, I doubt there will be available spot at the end of August. But please don't loose hope! We have made it this far! I think they will send out an email on Sept 8th at least to tell you all the spots in the program are full.
  7. Hello! I emailed UofT today, and they replied me said that there is no spot available for now, but there might be spots available at the end of August, and then they will notify us. I would assume previous offers will be expire at the end of August, but without knowing my actual ranking among the 15, I would say the chance is slim. Are you currently preparing for another program to start in September? as I am not holding much hope for this waitlist
  8. Oh thank you! I didn't know the spots are all full, I guess my chance is very low
  9. Hi! Have you heard anything from UofT again, I am debating whether I should email them just to ask if all spots are filled in the program since it has been a week from the email.
  10. Thank you so much! I will probably mail it in on Friday. UofT told me that the ddl is August 1st, but what if we got accepted after that? I am confused
  11. Hopefully we could get offers soon! Have you finished your police check for UofT? I just started today, and I am very worried to be honest.
  12. Hello, just want to let you know I just received an email from UofT says that they have already considered all waitlist candidates from group 1, and says that I am among top 15 in group 2, and they want me to confirm that I am still interested and I am preparing my requirements for the police check and etc.. I guess I should really do that police check now LOL.
  13. I am also in group 2, I think group 1 has more than 10 people.... I already lost hope LOL
  14. Congratulation! Could you let me know if you get a spot? I received my waitlist ranking yesterday as well, but I am in the second group of waitlist, and it says there are three groups. However, it does not have a specific number of people in each group. I would assume that my chance is extremely low?
  15. I agree with you so much! Right not I am very on the fence about the waitlist, and the instruction suggests us to do police check and immunization form ahead of time, but so far there is no form, so I am a little bit confused.
  16. Hi everyone! Congratulations on the acceptances, I just got waitlisted by UofT on Friday as well, and I am curious about everyone's decision on where to go for nursing school. For those of you who also got acceptance from other schools, I assume most of you have started immunization form or police check. I wonder would you go to UofT if they decide to accept you maybe in the end of July? I am on the fence! If any of you could provide some suggestions that will be great!
  17. Where did you put down as your first choice? I really hope I could get UHN as I have been volunteered at Toronto general for two years, and I just really love the people who work there. Although we won't know our clinical placements until couple weeks into the inquiry phase of the term.
  18. Hi! I read the 2018 Nipissing SPP forum, and there is someone from upper year answered this question around April 18th 2018. I believed she said that you will have a base (SICKKIDS, UHN or PUBLIC HEALTH) where you do at least 3 terms of clinical, and you get exposed to different units in the base hospital. Then you will have one term forced to do clinical at one place other than your base. Besides, at the final term you get to do clinical at anywhere your heart desires, even out of province. I hope this helps!
  19. Hi there! Please don't loose hope! I emailed them two weeks ago, and they said they will send offers till august if spaces are available, but they could not tell me my ranking on the waitlist. I would suggest you to email them and ask if there are still spots left in the program. I think they send out offers biweekly on mondays. I believe two weeks ago someone on this forum said they receive the emails, and I got mine yesterday 4:20 pm. I have not yet received my official offer of admission, but I will let you know my ddl to accept the offer. I am also waiting to hear back from UofT. Have you been accepted to other schools? I really wish you could get in!
  20. I am so happy for you! Are you still waiting to hear back from other schools? I am also waiting to hear back from UofT but I don't think I will get in.
  21. Hi everyone! Thank you guys for such a supportive group! I received an email that offer a position in the SPP today, and I will accept the offer! Hope to see you guys soon! I have not yet receive my offer of admission, but want to let anyone who is still on the waitlist to know that please don't loose hope! I thought there is no way I could be admitted since I am an international student, but I got in!
  22. May I ask you when did you submit your final transcript for Winter? Was it last week or early this week?
  23. Hi everyone who are still on the waitlist! Has anyone heard anything this week? Last Thursday I emailed the admission, and they replied that there are still some spots left in the program and they are working on accepting applicants from the waitlist. From reading the forum, I knew that some people got off the waitlist last Monday. Therefore, I am wondering if anyone heard something this week so far? I am still anxiously waiting to hear back. Also I am wondering if I should send in my transcript since I just completed my anatomy prerequisite this Spring.
  24. Does anyone know if UBC send out acceptance all together or does it come in waves? If I don't get in today does that mean I am rejected?
  25. WOW!! Congratulation! I thought they were going to take more time before making any more decisions. I hope they are still sending out offers. I have not heard back from them yet, and I am getting worried.
