Hi! yes I made a facebook group it’s called NYU accelerated nursing fall 2020

That’s so funny because UoR was my top but I got denied and I got into NYU

I was one of the first people to hear a decision somehow but I’m sure they get well over a thousand applications and I was told as people decline they send out more decisions so that’s why it’s such a long process. don’t give up hope though!

I made the group, it's all people that have been accepted except for one person that was in the last cohort and was giving advice. Some people in the group haven't accepted their offer yet either.

I was wondering the same thing actually! I’m pretty sure master programs are typically 2 years long though

Oops sorry, yeah I created a facebook group chat for people that are admitted. Most people I think are getting a 6,000 nursing scholarship, but it depends on your financial situation which is why they make you fill out the CSS profile

Unfortunately I’m still waiting on mine, but a couple of people in the group chat received there’s. Financial aid told me any day now though

I had to fill out 2 CSS profiles for both my parents and financial aid in order to get an award package

Its $500. I was nervous about the same thing but you can go to the page without committing LOL

classes for NYU start Sept. 14th and there’s an orientation the week before that

To anyone else thats been accepted, have you guys found a facebook page for our cohort yet?? I'm not sure if I should try to create one (I don't know how to even do that though LOL), but I thought it would be helpful for navigating through this entire process and finding roommates and stuff! I know I thought the same thing! I also called two weeks ago and they told me I should be hearing back within a couple of business days, but I never did so thats why I called again. I'm not sure how much aid we would get as it is a second degree program but I'm kind of counting on it I accepted my offer anyways because I wouldn't be hearing back from my other schools for awhile

CONGRATS btw!! I ended up calling financial aid yesterday and they told me that they will begin to review aid packages for transfers towards the end of this month so fingers crossed LOL

The only class that I’m taking online is nutrition (I haven’t done that yet). I’m enrolled in human anatomy & physiology II right now which technically went online because of everything going on I believe I read that they prefer that only developmental psych and nutrition are taken online if you have to

I’m in the same boat! I’ve been looking for a facebook page but haven’t found anything for our specific cohort yet. I did find an NYU off campus housing page on facebook, but that’s about it. I’m pretty sure most people get an apartment off campus, but I also have no idea how to go about it. I want to try and find a roommate in the same program though so it will be a little cheaper

no it’s not you can be in the process of finishing your degree

I have an overall GPA of 3.69 and yup I’m getting my degree in August! I had a personal care assistant job for a child with autism and then I did a bunch of volunteering
