  1. I feel the same, I was rejected. I hope a spot opens up for you! If you don't mind sharing, what were your stats? I'm not sure what I could have improved about my application outside of my essay and possibly more volunteer experience.
  2. Disappointed I wasn’t accepted, but congratulations to everyone who got in!
  3. Fingers crossed we hear on Monday! This wait is killing me, I'm curious to see how everything goes. Does anyone know their stats as far as accepting out-of-state applicants?
  4. I was in contact with admissions and they said middle of March, hopefully we'll hear sooner!
  5. I'm from CA, really the best chances here are with the private schools. Often the public schools don't consider resumes, volunteer experiences or even direct healthcare experience unless it is LVN/LPN, EMT, sometimes CNA. Even with 4.0 GPA and highest TEAS scores people don't get in. It comes down to factors outside of academic performance/experience in the field. It is definitely discouraging, hopefully we hear back the first week of March!
  6. Anxiously awaiting the day when we hear... Does anyone know what the acceptance rate for the program is like? Most state schools where I'm from have a range between 6-10% acceptance.
  7. I'm surprised how inactive this thread has been with applications being due so soon! How are everyone's stats? I also was wondering when we might hear final decisions. I saw on the website that for the Portland campus, there are no live interviews, only essay questions sent out to eligible candidates but it doesn't specify when. I wonder if that might prolong the decision process...other schools require decisions by May.
  8. Okay! Definitely, if you read it from past year's threads I'm sure you're right. my mistake, my head is honestly spinning from all the info from different schools! I'll see if I can delete my post as not to confuse more people ?
  9. Re-reading what I said, I might be mistaken and be thinking of another program. Maybe someone else could clarify? I don't have my info session notes on hand. I wish they had this info readily available on their site!
  10. If anyone might know what the interview questions are like, I'd love to prepare some more! I'm excited albeit nervous about having my interview so soon!
  11. I have (AH!) I’m surprised how many interview slots there were! I wonder if they are interviewing 90 people or just making extra times available
  12. I'm not sure! The transfer cohort is separate so that might be why, you might be right. I hope we hear sooner rather than later but the info I got from the website.
  13. We should hear back in February about whether we get an interview (for early March) official decisions sent out late March/early April.
  14. I wasn't able to submit mine either. I'm super worried-I even wrote down the submission time, so I'm quite confused how this happened.
  15. That's crazy! I'll let you know if mine doesn't submit, hopefully this is just a glitch.
  16. No way! I'm finishing mine up right now, I thought we had until 5pm ET 12/1?
  17. Hi there! I saw that there wasn't a thread yet for Chico's BSN program for this year's round of applications for the Fall 2021 cohort. Hoping to get a feel for this year's applicant pool. I wanted to make a thread where we could discuss the program and the application process! Feel free to drop your stats, questions, or comments below.
  18. Great to hear! How exciting ?
  19. Unfortunately, as a phlebotomist there aren't many CSUs that are taking those hours for points--SJSU just took off their healthcare experience points and SDSU only approves hours for a select few licensed healthcare workers. I believe SFSU might award some points. Even for Chico, I was below the minimum point cutoff for the past 2 years (last two years minimum has been 94, I would be applying with 91 even with the highest TEAS score). I will be taking the TEAS for my CA schools but I have little hope that I'll get into any of them that I might not take the TEAS more than once--depending on my score I might not report it for Emory if they don't require me to
  20. Hi there! Thanks for sharing your stats, I was curious if you had any healthcare experience when you applied. I'll be applying with a 4.0 and a few hundered hours of healthcare experience as a phlebotomist. Do you know how many transfer students they admit per Fall cohort? Since the TEAS score submission is optional, I might leave mine out--I haven't taken it yet since things are so crazy out here in CA, I was hoping to take it at a testing center and everything is just starting to open up for indoor activities.
  21. It's available on the School of Nursing website! They also have an interactive point evaluation calculator I believe
  22. Hi there! I am also a Californian (Bay Area!) applying to OHSU's program, although I haven't decided on a campus yet. I'm hoping to gain more clarity after attending the info session (again). I haven't looked at the essay questions quite yet--but that's what I'm nervous about as well! I'll be applying with a 4.0 GPA and a couple hundred hours of healthcare experience as a phlebotomist
  23. Thanks so much for the advice! I was curious to know you felt the program was in regard to the development of practical skills (catheter insertion, IV placement, dressing central lines, wound dressing) I've heard previously that skills like that aren't introduced until the senior year.
  24. Thanks so much!! Is there somewhere on the website that you found that? I couldn't find a page that listed their points system. I'm assuming that is the extent of their evaluation? No consideration for other things like other CSUs e.g. healthcare work experience, volunteer work
  25. Thanks for starting a thread! Super curious to see how this year's applications go. I feel silly asking but does CSULB use a points system similar to the other CSUs? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place but I'm not seeing that they list anything other than the statistics of those admitted.
