Hey guys! saw your forum of Spring 2021. As a current student, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT come to this school. This program is extremely unorganized, the dean, the department itself doesn't know what they are doing. I don't know if is because of COVID but is such a mess. Classes are an hour long and professors don't teach. You get one hour of lecture, the first 30 minutes is quiz time, the rest is a group activity, no time for discussions, or really talk about the topics. You have to do A LOT OF SELF-TEACHING, which is extremely overwhelming. Trust me you won't have a life. Depending on the class you will have quizzes every week, along with ATI modules, and that's great, but it will be better if professors actually teach during lecture time. Instead, you will be bombarded with videos on Canvas that are super long and boring and very time-consuming. Financial aid is another disaster. I have yet to receive leftover tuition money and the semester is over. Please! Being in this school due to administration is a headache. You don't want that uncertainty when you are devoting all your time and money to pursuing your degree. If you got accepted somewhere, please go to that school. Don't attend CMSV. Sorry if I discourage a lot of you but I'm trying to save you from a huge headache.

You need the 6-digit password. And your email example would be Mark Twain, you enter the first letter of your name, your last name and the number given to your email. Example: mtwain20. And password is your 6-digit DOB

Hey guys! I got approved for federal loans through fafsa. If you completed your financial aid they’ll give you your information right away. I got approved and you can check on the financial aid section in the portal where you can see your classes. Use the same link CMSV previously sent you. Is this what you were hoping for?

Not everybody uses WhatsApp. I don’t even have the app. Notice the other schools are doing it as well to keep in touch and post information such as financial aid and all, etc. But it was just a suggestion...

Hey guys. I’ve been following the other CMSV chat room. Didn’t know this one existed. I also got accepted to CMSV back in February and super excited to start. I signed up for orientation for June and I’m reading that is going to be virtual which I thought it was in person. My question do we sign up for classes or the department does? I know some schools give you the classes no matter what other business you have, so I’m super curious to know!

Yes. Send it directly to graduate admissions I believe. You are doing the accelerated track correct?

I believe they mention in their website their minimum requirements for classes which I believe is a C, so I believe you should be fine.

I"m really trying here but is a bit discouraging. With everything that is going on, I don't want to procrastinate. Who knows what happens next and then we can't start the academic year or do it all from home or another wave of the virus comes and we can't do anything once again. I just want to get the ball rolling either way and I feel they are just keeping us all in pause for the longest.

That is just ridiculous! Other schools already have the ball rolling with all the requirements needed for the fall academic year and they are still are working on decisions? They should've started this a long time ago. CMSV deadline is July 1st and they already have orientation set up for this month. As prestigious this school is I'm disappointed.

I think is over. I know June people start getting rejection letters and I haven’t heard anyone being on a waiting list

College of Mount Saint Vincent due to the cost. Is half the price of both schools (NYU and Pace) but I know that NYU gives scholarships so lets see what happens...
