  4. Does anyone know who asked for the USA to close all businesss? Public?
  5. I would ask to re renroll
  6. Ask any question you would like including any career center
  7. I do love to ask questions
  8. I do think I assure everyone this is the right career to have
  9. I’m confused.... how can the gov ask businesss to just close?
  10. Government Closure I would think so
  11. Apparently no further schooling required. And seeing the World close I wonder also. Education centers closing where is the power company?
  12. That’s a very nice thing to say. I have so many questions that that I could spend the rest of my life asking anyone who listens or is interested in what nurses or other careers have to say or ask. At least there is resolution possible with some of this. However were not alone in this world as far as I know. I do have more the. One question. However I should ask around or try to find the answers before just screaming or waiting to long. I have so many questions in my own circumstances when I started out in 2009. I only made it a couple of years and there were many ups and downs. However I do like to talk a lot. And were all somewhat different
  13. I could imagine.... they seem to revoke for anything and everything..... if I did not understand something on the job or was not for sure I would find out.... I’m just browsing through time on here... I stayed scared because I still have not found an employer and that is very scary to me. However I’m assuming this is a top notch career with no mistakes to be made and held to a high standard. I can believe that being it is medical however when I drive down the Road I do not feel like wrecking my car on purpose. I’m going to take a nap now... I have no idea what’s going to happen in the future for any nurse even if they are in good standing.
  14. This is really hard to read what all goes into this. I can’t believe they go as far as drawing blood for test. I think that is crazy... I was browsing through some of the Board orders and there was a foreign person here that went through nursing school and got her Lvn and was also hospitalized with schiphorenia and she was here on an F-1 visa from China or Hong Kong.... she was not able to fulfill her new tpapn contract due to the time limit and got revoked.... if I did all this from another country and that happened I wouldn’t know what to think or do.... it’s not just being a perfect nurse with no mistakes or also a perfect person with no criminal record....you could be a buss driver and have the lives of someone else in your hands.... heaven forbid not make any mistake.
  15. Today I had my meeting with the Board of Nursing requesting my exception to a board order. I am in the TPAPN program. I am required for a psychiatrist and counselor once a month and random testing and my support group. I asked to be released from tpapn and have my file be directly placed with the Board. I was granted a release from tpapn. my file is going with the Board and I am now allowed to have a nurse practitioner and counselor. As far as I am understanding. A psychiatrist in this circumstance is very hard to find. I am required to have my employer supervision. I due hope I make it through this. One facility the nurse refused to monitor me. There is so many ups and downs... I clear hr and don a administrator all for nurse to say no. I do hope employers and other nurses will go more with this flow because nurses should be allowed to have set backs. I just hope now I can continue... I do owe my psychiatrist and counselor a lot however those people are so very rare. I was so nervous even the board executive got on the phone. I will be more sure with what was granted when I get the new order in the mail. I believe I was released from random testing and support group. However I was so nervous all I could say was OK and thanks.... no telling what they thought about me.
  16. Does anyone know of Dallas nursing homes that need nurses the most? I am still looking for a nursing home that will hire me with being in TPAPN. Surely there is at least one nursing home in northern Texas that is looking for a LVN with a current tpapn contract.
  17. I was not put on an OIG list. And I was not excluded on any other list including if a facility that accepts medicare. I asked the Texas Board of Nursing actually about working as an administrative assistant and they explained it was up to the facility themself. From what I understand is different states may have different rules. But I’m not here looking for information from others about this subject.
  18. Being revoked can stop you from getting anything with a state license. Every application for a state license I have seen ask if you have had a professional license revoked. I even asked a state realtor board about it and they said they would have to make a determination. A school teacher board told me they did not hold it against you however if something were on the background they could. I wouldn’t tell any employers that you used to be a nurse this would probably cause problems. I’m going to go as far as using Career excuse and pay a couple hundred bucks for some references they provide. I agree also that this is ridiculous ..... there is probably only 1 in 10 nurses in these programs that actually have a substance abuse Issue. I don’t understand how someone can casually drink 1-2 times a week and automatically have a problem. If that were true then this means everyone that drinks has a problem. Nurses on here say it’s a money gimmick and I’m leaning that to be true. It just doesn’t justify with me that 1 a week or month or even maybe once a year and there is a big problem. We are walking in old shoes from ones with problems that have passed this to us as we fell in a crack. I guess that’s the government for you.. ... I’m praying this certification works wonders so I can go on being able to survive and have normalcy in my life. Even if I have to move away to a large city with opportunities to make between $18 and $31 hr .. I’d go for that... hope something works out for you and just try to remember there is other nurses out there that are not able to work as a nurse either. Cya
  19. I did some research on trying to find other healthcare certifications that my nursing degree would qualify for and I was successful in finding one national board certification company. American allied health It does not matter if you are revoked or not. They offer certification in medical assisting, surgical technology, pharmacy technician and a few others including vetinary assistant. your nursing degree satisfies all the requirements for all of the offered certifications. I got the surgical Technician certification and put together a resume That I was trained on the job and applied on indeed. I applied at about 5 agency’s and 3 of them called back. I don’t know how strong the certification is with employers but I’m going to try to find out more about it. I’m trying to research and learn about the surg tech job duties incase I get hired so I might know a little. I should probably go with the medical assistant but the surgical technician pays more. I just wanted to share this about American allied health in case it might help someone else out with getting a job.

  21. A Director of nursing tried to hire me but when she asked the other nurses if they would monitor me they said no. I've been trying to get employed in a year. as my only backup plan I underwent a new evaluation and want to ask to be released from tpapn. does anyone have any thoughts on what I can say as to why. I can simply just ask out and that be all but just wanted to check and make sure I am not missing anything that would help with my reason? any ideas?
  22. What about the employment drug screen. Does the prescription justify?
  23. I’m talking with an employer that will not hire me until she knows if a alcohol free hand sanitizer will kill the Covid. Does anyone know of an alcohol free hand sanitizer that works against the Covid?
  24. I also asked this question on Avvo. And this is an answer I received “Pending your stipulations and review of the incident and the Boards Order assistance could be provided after a full consultation.” how do you get that assistance (with getting hired somewhere)
  25. I was reviewing the Texas Board disciplinary matrix. in the first box it has information of violating board orders. It has Mitigating Circumstances for §301.452(b)(1): Unforeseen financial or health issues; not practicing nursing during stipulation period. does the not practicing during stipulation period mean that the nurse did not practice during her stipulation period when in fact she was allowed to practice. Example unable to find employment or does it mean the nurse was not allowed to practice example an enforced suspension. does anyone know
