  1. I'm sorry to hear that, no one deserves to be treated that way
  2. Hey thanks for taking the time to answer, Is it really that much harder and more time consuming when we get into clinical?
  3. Does anyone in the program want to get a group discussion going?
  4. I got many rejection letters in three years of applying, don't get deterred you will get in. You may need to apply to more schools and further away, but don't give up
  5. Anyone starting in 2021 want to talk to each other and get to know one another?
  6. Any idea of how many people were interviewing yesterday? I think there were like 15ish today
  7. So do we know if they're still planning on doing interviews?
  8. Anyone have any updates, I havent heard anything. I emailed and got this response " Hello, Due to the current emergent public health situation, the Faculty and Staff of the University of South Florida have been asked to work remotely through at least April 6, 2020. During this time, I will receive an increasing volume of email communications and my responses could be delayed. I will respond in order of urgency. Current applicants: Reviews of applications will continue at this time, though updates may be delayed. Updates will be sent to the email address provided with the NursingCAS application. Below are some helpful resources. Please be mindful how these resources may also be affected by current circumstances."
  9. Has anyone heard anything, I still havent heard any information or update. I emailed them and got this :" Good morning, I hope this email finds you well. Unfortunately at this time we are waiting to hear back for further instruction from the committee. They have been preparing for going virtual with their current students so there is a bit of a delay. I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this time. Have a wonderful day and be safe! Thank you, Jacquelyn Ponce"
  10. I got this interview but at this point I assume I'm not getting an interview
  11. Me too please, if you dont mind
  12. "References will put up with it" Keep in mind they dont have to write good references for you, and if you pester them they very well may not. Keep your dream alive and go for it, just realize it very well may take you years before you get some bites. I started applying after year one, I got my first interview offer after 3.5 years. My cumulative is like a 3.32 and nursing BSN 4 year 3.6. I've retaken 8 hours of class, gotten multiple extra certs on top of ccrn, got a high enough GRE. You can do it if your dedicated, but definitely be careful about overloading you references. They arent required to say nice things about you
  13. Asking for letters of rec can be really tedious , it can be a difficult task trying to stay on top of doctors and nurse managers about letters to many schools
  14. Also I read a guide saying to come in a suit, is this over dressed? The interview will be in front of a panel and then change into scrubs, should I got business casual or more formal?
  15. So during the interview they said I'll be able to ask questions, what would the appropriate questions be? I'm planning to ask about what kind of clinicals/ cases they get, etc. - how much experience we may get placing invasive lines, epidurals, etc. - when clinicals begin, is it front loaded etc
  16. Anyone have any tips on preparing for interviews? I've heard reviewing ccrn material and knowing in depth info on needs given. Any other advice ?
  17. I've been applying for 3 years and got my first interview, 1 of 11, just keep trying
  18. The email came at random: " Good afternoon BSN-to-DNP Nurse Anesthesia Spring 2021 Applicant, Thank you for your patience during this processing time. We are still currently processing applications and setting up interviews as we process. Once your application is processed we will send you an email letting you know that your application has been submitted to the committee for review. If you are selected for an interview we will reach out via phone call to coordinate an interview date and time with you. Applications are being processed at random and as we have seen an increase in the amount of applications to be processed this year the processing time is taking a little longer than anticipated. Thank you for your patience as we continue to go through applications and submit them to the committee for review. If you have any questions in the meantime please do not hesitate to let us know. As of yet, no admit, deny, or waitlist decisions have been made and they will not be made until the committee has reviewed all applicants that they have selected to interview. If you are selected for an interview we will be in touch. Thank you once again for your patience. Have a wonderful day! Thank you, Jacquelyn Ponce Sr. Program Coordinator School of Nursing & Health Studies Office of Student Services"
  19. Yeah just a generic email saying they're still processing, that they're doing them at random
