  1. Hi nurses, how long do you spendd reviewing if going into an area you haven't worked in a while? I haven't worked in a year and wondering how long and how much studying it takes to gain back your confidence?
  2. Hello, did you contact these companies and what was your outcome?
  3. NLS replied to Tnsocal's topic in Agency Nurses
Any advice for a newbie on how to start with local and not travel agencies? This would even more helpful if your experience was in the New York area. Thanks in advance.

How did you go about starting with an agency and what city did you live in? Any advice for one looking to work as a “local” agency nurse? Thank you.
  5. As silver dragon has said the TN is not possible in this case but maybe an Eb3 or Hb1 offered by an international nurse staffing agency might be a good option. It can't hurt to contact them and to contact an attorney for these complex cases.
  6. You are totally right. I was trying to help but it is true that they cannot if they do not fit in that category. Thank you for posting this.
  7. Have you tried applying with an international nurses agency? they usually provide you with an employer's letter which you need to obtain a TN visa at any port of entry (airport) in the United States. You could obtain a Visa Screen, CES. All that along with your degree is what you need in order to obtain a TN visa. You could speak to an attorney to determine if you are able to obtain this TN visa while still on an F2 visa. Good luck. It is been a while, if you have come up with another solution please share.
  8. I am a Canadian RN and while working with an international recruiting agency I once received a job offer that listed 3 months of free housing , along with $1,500 housing stipend for a relocation package. In the end, I took a different job that did not have all these benefits but that was in my dream location. You could try and find a recruiting agency that helps nurses move within the US and see if that would be part of their moving package. Specify to them that you are a new grad and that you would like to have a residency for new grads offer, they might know hospitals that would give you such an offer.
  9. Where on the CGFNS screen did you go to print your CES? Thank you
  10. 15 years is a long time. I am glad that it happened for you finally and wish you the best of luck with getting your license sorted, I know it must be frustrating.
  11. Hello Joana, may I ask how you went about obtaining a green card in the States? I am currently waiting to move for a job in NY state, Syracuse.
  12. Hello, Suicide is never an option. Please reevaluate your perception of what truly matter in life. This job is not worth all this hurt, why not apply to something at a slower pace like clinic or school nurse, you might find that you enjoy it. There are so many areas to be a nurse, please don't hurt yourself and please take care. Try to find a new job asap Hello, Suicide is never an option.
