  1. Some hospitals here are more picky about hiring BSNs vs ASNs. Among the pickier ones are Children's and Emory because they are going for the Magnet status. From my understanding, all graduates of nursing programs whether it be ASN or BSN can apply for residency programs here. But you'll see in job applications that BSN is preferred. All the hospitals you listed above are reputable here. Piedmont is the cardiac centered one. In fact, they just finished construction on an entire building dedicated to cardiac patients. I may be mistaken but I think they opened it earlier than expected to care for patients with COVID. Northside is the "baby factory". Huge postpartum center, L&D, and large NICU. Piedmont and Northside are also great hospitals all around for other departments. I hear good things from current employees there. Wellstar Kennestone recently opened one of the largest EDs in the country. Grady is the trauma center. I'm sure you will see everything in their ED as well. Even if BSN is preferred, submit your application, have good references, WOW! the interviewers with your soft skills. And practice interview questions! When I started going to interviews for residency programs, I was amazed how much of the hiring decision really depends on whether or not you are approachable/likable as a person. Also CONGRATS to you and your boyfriend!!
  2. Hi everybody. I'm also from GA and was wondering if anyone knows how long the wait times are to sit for the NCLEX. Some people I spoke to said June is taken up. I'm worried there aren't going to be many spots available in the next two or three months. Is anyone driving really far to get a test spot?
  3. @as15bk I’ll dm you
  4. @Emr2 Gotcha. I applied for MB so I thought maybe they’re waiting to roll those decisions out. I’m sure they’ll get to us soon! Fingers crossed for today ?
  5. @Emr2 are you MB or L&D?
  6. Yeah under log into profile then on the applications Link
  7. @bailey1015 Offer pending for me as well. Same situation you described
  8. @minniemoo22 I’m sorry to hear that. It was an intimidating process for sure lots more people interviewed than expected.
  9. @mnolasco dang I’m sorry to hear that ? It was extremely stressful and intimidating. Plus I heard interviews ran an hour and a half over the expected time slots
  10. Unrelated but I know a lot of people are on this forum...has anyone heard back from Northside ATL women’s hiring event that took place this past Wednesday?
  11. Has anyone heard back from Northside women’s services?
  12. Yeah I don’t feel told good about it either at this point. Also external. I think if you specified critical care as your major areas of interest the chances are lower that they get back to you since so many people want those units. Just what I’m assuming
  13. MB midtown wbu? And MB Northside. Yes I really hate the waiting. Whatever happens though I am grateful for the fact that I have options in a unit I really wanted. I hope we start to hear something tomorrow because they did say 2-5 business days
  14. @MyaRN2020 do we live the same life ?
  15. Got mine yesterday. Five business days as well to respond. Ask the recruiter about the units you’re interested in. They will be upfront and tell you the decision
  16. @GABearRN20 I would keep calling and be persistent. 3 weeks is a while to not hear back. The recruiters are really busy especially for Piedmont ATL. I spoke to her and she said they received around 100-200 submissions at the beginning of the application opening. I have no clue what that number would be now. She also told me that they’re not hiring anyone for NICU and I think Postpartum for the Atlanta location. Not 100% sure though. I definitely relate with your anxiety. Good luck and keep trying!
  17. I didn’t hear anything about the number of people they’re gonna hire but given that the interviews are “speed dating” style I imagine a lot of people will be applying. Good thing about it is that the email said they reach out in 2-5 days with a decision! So hopefully by the end of the week we’ll know
  18. Hi @jansenrenee22 I also got the women’s services email for Northside this Wednesday. I read it’ll be like a speed dating type interview so I really have no clue what to expect. And @kellye_j apparently some people I’ve spoken to have heard back about interviews but other than that I don’t know much about wellstar
  19. @Carkitty ADN Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience!! That was very helpful and reassuring
  20. Hi. I already did it. Not sure how to feel about it. I wasn’t really asked any questions. There was a lot of talking and a tour but nothing directly about my experience. I’m taking that as a bad sign ?. It was for a women’s services unit btw. Good luck @echill40 and everyone else!
  21. Any updates y'all? Been reading past forums hoping to get an idea of a timeline for CHOA lol
  22. I have not received any confirmation but if you log back into the sign up link, there is an appointments tab that will show you which units you are scheduled for. Anyone interview on the 14th?
  23. Hi! I got an email from Northside and I filled out the survey but I didn’t get the follow up email after that...
