WOW! hearing tomorrow would be so good for my (our) anxiety! I emailed them last week and they told me within the first week or two of May, I really hope we actually get to hear on the 30th!! My heart beats so fast every time I get an email that I get lightheaded, would love for that to stop sooner rather than later! Good luck everyone, I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s (hopefully) good news here! ?

I've actually heard that they only contact your references if they need clarification about something on your application. I took that to mean that if they don't check your references, then everything is good! I am currently stressed out every single time I get a new email now even though I know it'll be 10 or so days ?

Yeah they will be, they say as long as it’s dated to before the cut off then they accept it. So if they get it in July, but it says that it was sent in May then it’s fine. They got my undergrad transcripts way after the Jan 31 cut off because of delays ? I took the two courses separately, so I sent in my December grades in January and don’t have interim grades for the second course. The transcript I sent in said that the second course was in progress, so I guess that counts as interim? Good luck with your studying ?

I think you just send in final transcripts if you get in right? I was planning on waiting ? They don’t count this terms grades, so it probably doesn’t change anything to send in before or after. How are you doing this week? I just got my grade back for A&P 2 and it went well! Yay!! 2 more weeks-ish!

Yes, join our stress! I got my degree last year at UVic in Microbiology! I work at UBC now as a cancer research lab manager and my GPA is 90% for nursing admissions purposes (not sure what that is on the 4.33 scale, I think somewhere around 4.1-4.2). I've been volunteering in hospitals for almost 2 years now (BC Children's hospital & hospital ER), but other than that no major healthcare experience like a lot of the people here have been talking about! I'm hoping the CASPer went alright, but I'm nervous because it seemed to be the major deciding factor last year and I don't feel great about it. I had to write it twice, one for nursing and one for professional school, and thankfully nursing was second, so I felt a bit more relaxed that time, but I still found it extremely hard. If I don't get in I'll either apply to U of C or to UBC again, I really don't want to leave Vancouver so thinking I might only apply again!

Oh man, all the emails I got made me think letters went out today! I am dying waiting right now hahah I applied to the UBC MOT program as backup, realized I didn't want to do it, and here we are. I also started a master's program in a research field, hated it, and came back to nursing yet again! If you really want to do nursing, it might not be worth it to do another 2-3 year program ? That said, Public Health and Business are such good programs, could be a great option if you're rethinking nursing!

How is everyone holding up? I feel like being home from work & school has me max stressed and constantly checking ssc even though I KNOW the results won't come out for 3-4 more weeks. I was just rejected from the Master's program I applied to at UBC as a backup and now everything is on the nursing program (which I want way more anyway). Feeling like I probably should have applied to more than one school right now though ? What are you guys doing to ease the anxiety while we wait?
