  1. Hello, I just got accepted into CRNA school and I'm super grateful this occurred, but I'm currently at a loss for what I need to do next. I personally found myself weak in Physics/Chem in my undergrad and even though my school (supposedly) doesn't have much of either I don't want to fail or skimming. If there is anything you guys did to prepare for your first few semesters of school whether it was physiology, chem, physics, or even stuff I wouldn't think could you point me in the right direction. I have my CCRN and study things occasionally from my book
  2. Got accepted and I will be attending, excited to start this journey with y'all
  3. Got an email for a interview this morning for the sept 1st deadline if anyone is wondering. Interviews are being scheduled in November virtual/in person
  4. Received a email to interview, figuring out how to get my interview from Seattle is gonna be crazy but I'm excited :)
  5. This is half true and half false btw. NYU Langone and Catholic Health recruiters will pre screen you and knock you out if your GPA is below 3.5. Nurse managers probably won't give a rat's *** but the recruiters do.
  6. Best of luck to everyone here, it is indeed rough in the NYC/LI area and you be surprised half of the hospitals are short staffed and or people internally are begging to hire new nurses. I'm a new grad who just got offered a ICU/MICU position at Mount Sinai and trust me when I say I was applying for months and had legitimate job searching depression. I'm still shook till this moment that I got that position in light of me getting rejected from every med surg position in the world. If you want any tips, use every resource at your disposal. For example I used Linkedin and literally messaged the nursing CEO of one of the hospitals (I expecting no response) and she offered me an interview but on the same day I had the ICU interview/offer so I had to cancel that interview. But either way think outside of the box and ditch your pride for how to approach people. If you see a random person on instagram or facebook and they say they work at a hospital, don't be afraid to send them a friendly text.
  7. I wish y'all the best of and I know this late but for the essays if you feel as if you're not conveying your story in 1 page then write more. My essay was 2 and a half pages and I can't fathom shortening it ?
