For the ICN I am a bit confused about how to know if they are aware that we have RSVP'd for our interview slot??

This is what the program timeline showed. yeah that was what they said. But the did also say that it might change and there might be some opening in L&D or NICU in January... if I remember correctly

Yeah I put it in my cover letter. I wasn't sure if we were suppose to pick a first and second option. So I put Mom/Baby as my first and orthopedics as my second.

Just sent mine in. Applied to Mom/Baby...really hoping I hear back this time around. Good luck to everyone applying!

NICU and ICN

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to start a forum for the Stanford Children's Health (Lucile Packard) New RN Residency Program that will begin Spring 2023. Wishing everyone the best of luck!!

I did an NCLEX prep with NCLEXHighYield but it is expensive ($600) but got to keep the videos to review until I passed. But the have some free videos on Youtube. Also used Archer instead of UWorld…was happy cause one of the questions I got on the last day I studied showed up on the actual NCLEX.

I only applied to Women’s Health so I am really hoping that it goes through:/

I thought she meant if we got into the program or not from the way she was explaining it. But I could also be wrong?

I am also interviewing on Monday for OB at 12pm.

I wonder if the interview will be the same style as the first round??

Hi nursingalldaywoot, For us all our classes have been online on Zoom. With our theory classes we still meet and have assignments through sites such as DocuCare and Coursepoint. For lab we still are doing the usually checkoff, but once we go back to on-campus classes will meet up with our professor to do our Medication/Injection and Foley Catheter check off in front of her and our TAs. For clinicians we had to replace our community clinical with assignments on DocuCare and nursing plan presentations. While our clinical for our skill nursing facility (SNF) is kinda still going since our instructor works there and we meet the patients through videochatting, where we can ask them questions to help with our nursing care plan for our individual patient.
