A few questions...
I’m just very fortunate to be located in a neighboring state in a tri state zone.... I can work out of state two days on the weekend as opposed to driving one hour near my house 5 days a week. it’s the same driving time and same work time so I really feel there is no reason to try to leave the state of Texas unless I am asked to since it’s the exact same time frames in all retrospect

A few questions...
There is several other things I could not figure out also.... why if you are going to endorse into a new state that requires hours worked or a refresher course you have to meet those standards... however if you are already in a state and licensed you only have to fulfill continuing education? that part I could not figure out either

A few questions...
I just got in it to help other people .... I did know it would be met with opposition at hiring facilities... I don’t go back to those places... I look for new places and new people.... I don’t blind side interview any more either

A few questions...
I do know that office is immune to lawsuits including the individuals of the board I asked and the attorneys informed me I had no case to sue for any reason. My only claim was they claim to be running things I did not dealing with a board would be like this at all... I don’t know about when they claim like inpatient and things like that? I just I know I stayed compliant with my mental health clinic

A few questions...
I was very scared and worried also however I had letters from my mental health providers in support and my evaluation doctor even spoke with my counselor since he is a psychologist and she is a counselor lpc. I do find this scenario haunting and fell into the same boat. I just know when I was first licensed I applied at a handful of places and was turned down and quickly fell into a demise situation that basically was not my fault. I recovered but at the hands of friends that picked me back up and put me back into the working environment. The last place I worked all of a sudden teamed up on me accusing me of drugs which was fine however I was not able to afford a doctor for medication nor did the facility provide health insurance. I felt rail roaded and walked out and fell into a further demise but I was very upset and did not have good medication that I have now. I do support how this system is setup however I also had to rely on the others opinions and decisions. I think there needs to have a mediation table put in place for nursing and other professions who find themselves in similar situations.

A few questions...
Oh wow.... well I personally don’t know much about that process however I have wondered about some of the providers. I honestly think I was able to go to two very good drs and was relieved because I don’t want to deal with a shady dr lol or any shady educated person for that matter. I fortunately was given a great opportunity with the program that wasn’t wildly rigorous and am able to fulfill it. I don’t mind the program however I just would like a faster turn around in the reinstatement process. Waiting years is too long and I do not think years off the table should be allowed

Depressed and Suicidal at work
Well you should never say suicidal ... I did that once and I was left out for 7 years..... I could have returned sooner but I wasn’t able to attend board meetings and did not know I could have an out of state psychiatrist and be relicensed.... I did do refresher courses and have been going to the dr since 2014... I could have been in it since 2017 so I’m getting a late start.... however no one in my family wants to even think about helping me get to work on the weekends.... I just have to pray my vehicle can make 12 trips at 500 miles round trip.... so maybe like ten thousand miles.... my problems are always financial but I would never say I was suicidal I told the board that and it all crashed and burned however I never made any threats or anything .... I knew they cared but never say that

A few questions...
The Texas Board has approved providers and I am so glad they do. I do not trust just anyone and I feel knowing that the board knows who they are dealing with is the best possible scenario. The evaluations include a history or medical / criminal / and any information they find necessary to reach a decision. I did not know how the process works however I am glad they have dr’s who are not scared to get involved with the Board. As for going to a psychiatrist if needed I am required to do so. My psychiatrist did not want to and declined and it was a total loss and I was ready to start looking for a new treatment facility however she changed her mind and I was thankful. I am only in tpapn for two years and I only have to work monitored for one year. The process with the board does in my opinion take way too long however I don’t know any other way to speed that process along. Right now nursing is my only future since I’ve been declined to go to law school. Hope it works out for you

Law School Declined
Hi i am a nurse that has just recently been reinstated and re licensed and in with TPApN in Texas. i always wondered what to do about not having a nursing license so I thought I would try law school. I have an associate degree in administration and a few of the online law programs in California accept associate degrees for entrance. i applied at one however I was declined. I really am sad because that was the only thing I could think of doing and becoming without a nurse license. The cal bar association may even work with you being out of state in a peer program so I thought how great. now that I’ve been declined I am assuming I should just give up on that thought. I was hoping to be able to do it since me and nursing fell apart however as long as I have a psychiatrist at my mentAl health center I can be in tpapn out of state. And I can pass the psychological evaluations. so I’m at least thrilled about that part for sure. however with being declined in law schools I have no idea... I just wanted it to hopefully be an option. There is a few other online jd programs that accept associate degrees. I guess if worse comes to worse I can pursue becoming a nurse practioner lol. Yea that really sounds just worse huh? Jk I think that could smoke an attorney any day and I will always put nursing top of my list everyday for the rest of my life. I thought I would be a nurse practioner and jd in my final days however y’all about being scorched the wrong way. Ouch p.s. Never give up on being a nurse or getting back into licensure. Take care
