I still haven't heard anything but my application doesn't say no longer under consideration either like one of the other positions I had applied for. Has anyone heard anything yet? With an Oct 30th start seems like they should be really moving the process along right now...

Do you happen to know if overnights are a requirement of the fellowship? Did they discuss scheduling at all yet during your interviews or shadowing? I have a health issue and I am unable to do overnights.

Yea I think we would need to hear by next week because it is supposed to start 10/30. It takes time to go through the interview process and then onboarding with any medical and background clearance stuff.

I haven't heard a peep. No calls or interviews yet. My application just says received. I applied 8/23. The posting is gone so they aren't taking anymore applicants. I applied for another position that same week and already received an email that they're going with other candidates and now my application is inactive. Since that hasn't happened with the fellowship I am hopeful that I may still get a call to interview.

Can someone tell me if all the fellowships require night shift rotation? All the October fellowships show nights for the schedule.

Yea they don't like to answer questions via email or phone calls. They make you go to the info sessions to get questions answered. I went to 2 info sessions to keep things straight. I went to one before the program became multi award and then had to go again to understand how things would work once they changed the curriculum. Be careful with Molloy. It's a great school/program. It is very expensive. Really clarify with them how long it will take you because my friend had a bachelors already and went there, they told her 2 years, it took 3 and I have heard that happen to other people.

The classes that are offered in Summer are classes like micro and pathophysiology. The NUR courses are only offered Spring and fall and yes it's a sequence. You cannot take them together. Exactly! You can't shorten the time of the program, only make the workload within the semester more manageable by taking the NUR courses alone. I am hoping if we have all NCC classes from semester one complete, they will let us take 3 of the empire gen eds that first semester to get ahead with those. The only class from semester one I need is the modern american history but I don't want to spend a semester taking one course. I'd like to also take the Aging and society and western Civ course. The annoying thing is I took one of these courses already for my bachelors but since it was a 3 credit course and they require 4 credit they won't accept it.

Yea it's not an accelerated program. If you need to finish faster then maybe not the right program. Adelphi and Stonybrook have accelerated programs if you already have bachelors. Adelphi is expensive though and stonybrook is tough to get into. Just look at the curriculum for the program. It's all laid out. Us taking all the gen ed courses prior to getting in doesn't speed up the time it takes, it just makes getting through the program easier. My brother did it and some friends. It is very hard and demanding just taking those 8 credit NUR courses on their own. You don't want to be adding micro and other classes on top of that.

The program does take the full 8 semesters unfortunately. No way around that. I have a bachelors already as well. The way the program is set up now you don't take any nurses courses the first semester. The second semester you start with NUR 101 fundamentals. Then you have NUR 105, NUR 203 and NUR 204. You can only take one of those at a time and they aren't offered over Summer. After those are completed though you get the associates and can sit for NCLEX and then you finish the last 3 semesters online and you can start working while you do this. Nassau is not an accelerated program and unfortunately there is no way to do it any faster. I got in for the day!!! WOO HOOO!! I was screaming and jumping for joy! Congratulations everyone who got in so far! We should definitely start a FB group or what's app chat or something. Can't wait to meet you all ?

Same. I put my change of program app in the first week of March. I have nothing left to take after this semester. I'd hate to have to wait and reapply for Spring.

I have heard of 3 people getting in so far. One received email and letter, a current NCC student. Another is a current student who was accepted for night but not sure if she got email or letter. The other is not an NCC student and received just a letter. So who knows what is going on! The suspense will make us all crazy. Do they notify you if you didn't get in? I feel like the method by which you apply via change of program if you are a current student leaves room for error or applications being missed or who knows what, especially with the pandemic and school closing. Fingers crossed for us all!

I applied for the day. I am a current NCC student. I have taken everything except Pathophysiology and Micro which I am in process of taking now. I haven't received any email or letter. A girl in one of my classes says she was accepted and received both email and letter. A friend of mine is not an NCC student and she received just a letter. She will not be taking the seat because she got into Stonybrook also. She said the letter doesn't say anything about a deadline to accept the seat or a deposit or anything. Someone else I know also received acceptance to night program, not sure if by email or mail though. Lots of inconsistencies. I feel like if I got in, I would have heard by now but still holding on hope that maybe I'll hear in next couple days. Obsessing over the mail and my email. A little frustrated because I feel like my stats are good. CONGRATS to those accepted and good luck to those still waiting to hear!!

I submitted my application I have 8 out of 10. I am taking micro and patho now. A&P 1 - A A&P 2 - A Ethics - A Lifespan - A Psych - B Eng 2 - B Eng 1 - A Statistics - I think B+ (I forgot) Nassau resident and my overall TEAS is 85 Have others gotten in without 100 percent of pre reqs complete?

Can you tell me how to calculate? The office wouldn’t tell me. I’m so confused. When i apply I’ll have everything complete except micro and patho, which I’m taking during spring. Never been in program and Nassau resident. I have to retake TEAs though.

Would you mine explaining to me how points are calculated? I am applying for fall 2020. Also, if you have every gen ed you could take beforehand completed...what do you take first semester? No nursing classes. Do you take more than just the history empire course? Do they let you take the Sociology class or anything else?
