  1. This may be a silly question, but does anyone happen to know what month/year graduation would be for the prespecialty cohort starting this fall? Specifically FNP?
  2. I was also wondering if anyone knows how many people are accepted into each specialty
  3. Do we know if they tend to release decisions on Fridays or weekends? I know a lot of schools will release decisions on Friday afternoons, and was just wondering if Penn follows this trend. If so- would we hear this weekend, or the following? Getting so anxious!
  4. Also, I thought I read somewhere that if you do not meet requirements for the MSN portion, they will still consider you for the ABSN only. Does anyone know if this is true?
  5. Any idea when we should be heading back? Is it early February?
  6. I was looking at the information for outstanding prerequisite courses and I’m fixated on the line that says “an offer of admission will be contingent on successful completion of the course”. I don’t know if my course will be done by admission decision release. Does this mean I won’t get an offer?
  7. Does anyone happen to know what a general class profile looks like in terms of the stats of accepted students (GPA, clinical experience, volunteer hours, etc)? I’m especially curious about the class profile of accepted prespecialty students has looked like since applicants come from such different backgrounds.
  8. Hello! I am 22, in my first year post-undergrad. I was initially pursuing medical school but after 3 years of volunteering and working in various healthcare jobs, I've realized that nursing is absolutely the better fit for me. I have met some amazing nurses and nurse practitioners, and they have inspired me to embrace this new path!
  9. Hi, applied for FNP specialty and have not heard anything email. My confirmation email was received on 10/15. I was just wondering if anyone knows if there are NOT interviews required for our specialty, if we simply won’t hear anything until decisions come out in 2020?
  10. Yup, I believe you get to choose whether you do it over the phone or in person. Does anyone know if the FNP track sends out interview invites? Or do they solely rely on the application for acceptance?
  11. Hi everyone! I am also applying. I was wondering if anyone knows when decisions are supposed to be released for the prespecialty program, especially if you apply before the priority deadline?
  12. Does anyone know when interview invites are supposed to be released? Or when we can expect to hear back?
  13. I feel as though I have a very strong application, but my video interview did not go well at all. I lost the first attempt after a few seconds, and then my second attempt was not great (went over time). I am worried that I just destroyed my chances of getting in, even though I have worked SO hard on this application for weeks now. Does anyone know if this will cause me to be immediately rejected, or if there is still hope?
  14. I am also applying! I chose the FNP specialty. I am super nervous and don't know what to expect. I am also curious about what the general applicant pool looks like when it comes to stats, GPA, actual healthcare experience, etc.
