USC (Southern California) 2021
Does anyone know if all the calls have gone out? I know they said we'd hear before the end of the year so do calls go out in batches? Just haven't heard anything re: acceptance, wait list, or denial on my end via call or email on my end.

I believe interview invites go out at the beginning of November so we should know soonish. The program website says approximately 50 candidates are interviewed for 20 spots.

Do application statuses change on the application page itself after a while? Mine application status still says "Submitted" so just wanted to see if it'll continue to say that or if I should look for a change as an indicator that my application is at least progressing. Thanks!

Ah glad you saw this, then! It's on the "How To Apply" page! It's kind of buried in the program requirements and since there wasn't a place to upload it, I wasn't sure about it but figured better safe than sorry. Good luck, y'all!

If you haven't gotten your app in, the deadline is next week! Best of luck, y'all!

Did y'all just email your license verification to the contact email address for your application? I don't see an option to attach a file verifying licensure on my completed application.

I'm also applying! Finishing up the application today. Fingers crossed!

I know there's a thread for the last Master's cohort but I don't believe there's one for those of us applying for the DNP cohort? Figured I'd start one. I'm retaking some science classes to help my GPA a bit so I opted out of the Master's cohort to allow myself more time to complete them. Anyone else applying for the DNP program?

I'm also from Texas and have a friend who graduated from Wesleyan in December! Best of luck to you!! We've got this!

I'm applying to one other school for sure and I've been looking for 1-2 others but USC is my first choice honestly! I'm just so impressed by the school itself and the program and the people I've spoken with there. Definitely get the expense aspect of it though. Are you keeping your applications to CA or elsewhere? I submitted close to the deadline last year and I did not get an interview, but those things weren't related.

Ah thanks so much for confirming! My issue last year were some undergraduate science classes I hadn't done very well in. I've been working since January to retake those classes in hopes of a better outcome this year.

Awesome! Did either of y'all attend the Zoom info session in June? The shadow requirement is either a shadow or an interview with an anesthesia provider this year, is that right? This is my second year applying - just want to make sure I have it all straight.

Anyone else applying to USC for 2021 admission?

What CRNA schools truly accept NICU experience?
I have 7 years experience in the NICU and all the schools I applied to last year take it - Gonzaga, Texas Wesleyan, and Emory, for example. Programs have their admission requirements listed on their websites. Find schools you like then dig into their websites to find out if it's a good fit for your experience. Adult ICU experience is always going to be preferred over NICU. You need to find other ways (certifications, education, conferences, etc) to make yourself stand out among the pool of applicants.
